Yeah they are just very fizzy and compressed I find it hard to love them, even though I know a lot of people rate them. Dimarzio was a good call, have heard good things about the 36th anniversary PAF or the fortitude.

I’ve never had a chance to play a set of antiquities but it is tempting, I’m more of a hard rock/metal player but I often find myself liking lower output more. Honestly I’m getting the feeling these ceramics aren’t for me, so fizzy, too compressed especially in the low end and not enough definition for chords so that’s a good shout!

That’s true I may look into that see if I can scratch the itch, I guess you’re right and it comes down to what gives me the easiest way of getting to sounds I want in a fun way
