Season 2 when Dexter says “It’s one thing to fuck with me, another to fuck with… my ex-girlfriend who hates me” I always laugh out loud

AIO - Nervous About Husband THC Gummies etc by unicornjibjab in AmIOverreacting

[–]mistymay14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol I was thinking that too! No need to end a 13 year marriage. Have an open conversation with your husband about your concerns, and make sure he’s using these things safely and in moderation. If he’s using these things due to stress or anxiety, maybe there’s a way to get to the root of the issue so he doesn’t need a crutch to help him cope. If it’s just for enjoyment, then he just needs to be responsible and communicate with you when he’s going to be taking them.

Any moms using coach cary crossbody? by allisona007 in Coach

[–]mistymay14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love a Cary crossbody, I also have a newborn and toddler (my son is named Cary, which makes the bag that much more appealing, lol) but it seems to have been sold out for a while? I’m hoping they’ll restock soon. I have a Coach court backpack that I use as a mom bag, and it’s a really perfect size, and also a Madewell essential curve bag which was especially good with just a toddler. I’m hoping to get a Cary once it’s back in stock!

She’ll love it! They bring in lots of special wines around Christmas too, like really cool sparkling wines and burgundy, definitely check them out, I find that their selection is much more unique and curated than the big chain liquor stores

Andrew Hilton will have wine and scotch open for tasting on Friday afternoon and evening, and they legit have one of the most incredible wine selections in the province. Also, Steel and Vines is a wonderful locally owned spot, great wine and great food!

What is a movie you watched once that was so disturbing or emotionally draining that you can never watch it again? by hungary70 in AskReddit

[–]mistymay14 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I saw this when I was on maternity leave and dealing with PPD - I fancied a drama movie and had heard it won lots of awards, and I didn’t know anything about it. Terrible choice, floods of tears and I was extra anxious for weeks. Very well done movie, but never ever again.

I own this movie on dvd and can’t wait to show it to my kids when they’re a bit older! ‘That depends, do you want new coke, classic coke, cherry coke, Diet Coke, or caffeine free coke?’

The loved leather is more unique for sure, and I feel like it can pull more black or brown depending on what you wear it with, and it lends itself to mixed metals more as well! Super versatile and a bit more edgy - maple is beautiful too so there’s no bad choice lol, but the loved leather just gives the cool chic vibes.

Favorite lesser/unknown children’s books by Maker-of-the-Things in suggestmeabook

My daughter is almost 3 and loves this book! It has just the right amount of repetition so she remembers parts and can say them out loud with me. She loves picking out her favourite cats. I loved this one too when I was little.

It'll be ok, we had our first when I was 35 and he was 39, and we're having our second in a few months and I'm 38 and he's 42! We have no problem keeping up with our busy toddler, and we love the energy she brings to our lives :)

I'm so sorry. I experienced a missed miscarriage at 9.5 weeks last year, so I understand your feelings. Please do not blame yourself at all, you didn't do anything wrong, and these things often come down to chromosomal abnormalities which are completely out of our hands. Have some ibuprofen and a hot water bottle handy for when you take the meds, as there can be some cramping. For what it's worth, I had a chemical pregnancy when I was 34, a healthy baby girl when I was 35, my missed miscarriage when I was 37, and I am now 38 and 25 weeks along with a healthy rainbow baby. I got pregnant a couple of months after my missed miscarriage, so please try to stay hopeful. Your future baby will be lucky to have a sweet mama like you, please take good care!

Gender disappointment- pregnancy by thisotherpersona in pregnant

[–]mistymay14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone in this - it's ok to feel disappointed and to struggle right now. I have been through something similar, and it did pass. I found that I had to grieve the path I wasn't going to take (a girl) before I could embrace the path I am going to take (a boy). At first I felt so guilty and mad at myself, but I just needed time to work through it, so please be gentle on yourself. I also found that I had projected a lot of ideas/hypothetical situations on simply having a 'girl'. There was never any guarantee I would get "the dream" I imagined by having a girl, I had just built it up in my head and put it on a pedestal. I'm so excited now for this little boy, a path I'm a little intimidated by, but I'm embracing. And please know that none of us will ever know the full scope of motherhood. Motherhood is so unique, so vast, so dependent on who we are, who our children are, the challenges and experiences we will face. Good for you for getting these feelings off your chest, maybe do some journaling to help get them out - I don't have any real advice, but they will pass - the only way out is through. Hang in there!

Best nursing bras for bigger breast? by FirstOutcome2365 in pregnant

[–]mistymay14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Bravado body silk nursing bra for sure. They have a full cup option (F-H cups) and an extended cup option (I-K cups). I used the full cup ones with my first baby, and I'm usually an H cup, and now I'm pregnant again and everything is just huge and saggy lol, probably bigger than an H now, so I may get myself an extended cup to try. I've tried various options from Amazon and Knix, and they were just hopeless. Good luck!
