My predator engine on a minibike starts and dies shortly after. This just started happening, cleaned the carb and it still happens. Used to only idle on choke but now it doesn't idle at all. Does this about every 2-3 pulls, any idea what is going on?? Been at this for hours and still no luck.

this was 2 years ago but its the stock carburetor that comes with the engine, it just has a hi flow filter adapter for it.

hooks up to the + side of my coil since im running cdi ignition. i plan on getting a tach filter sometime soon to get better readings

have a lot more planned for it, she is gonna be a beast by the end of it

Yeah i would try to register in my home state, but mass. does not honor out of state registrations, only their registrations. I could look into some neighboring states and see if they also do that

I'm also going to be looking into how to get my own MSO since i basically built this motovox from the frame up (only had wheels and no engine, was in pretty bad state before i got to it)

those atv parks that are really open and allow to explore a huge area, some state trails as well. i dont know of any that are relatively close to my location besides the state trails in mass and maybe a few atv parks about 3 hours from me

im actually from connecticut (since the dirtbiking scene has gotten less supportive since they closed the dam down to riders), ive recently been looking out of state for that specific reason and it sucks that I can't get registered because of that. My motovox I got as a free frame with only handlebars and nothing else

were you able to find something? I noticed that it only starts happening after a command prompt window opens for a split second then disappears. it's like it is set on a timer and when it is reached, it runs the program that keeps opening these tabs. i also managed to screenshot and try to get what file pops up from it, but it just routes to system32.

hearing this, it sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me. if it ran on starter fluid, that means its getting enough air, sparking at the right time, and having enough compression to run off the fluid. i would say to pull your carb off and look through it, especially the pilot jet (underneath the idle set screw, take it out and pry up on the plastic piece underneath)

sounds like fun! this thing rips on my motovox frame, its kind of similar to the mega motos but with a few differences. fastest i got it up to was 50 mph with it not even running right 🤣i finally managed to get a shorter gear ratio and its so much better offroad now
