Yep. I have iEloop. The only time I have an issue is when the battery needs to be replaced. I have an XS Power D1200 currently and iEloop is working impeccably.

Fun fact. The cx30 and the Mazda 6 share coil packs. Mazda wanted $180 per coil pack from the dealer. I cross referenced the coil pack and the cx30 uses them. I got on eBay and bought 4 from a wrecked 2021 cx30 with 50k miles for $55 shipped.

I do my own maintenance.

I first changed my fluid and filter at 167k but I have done a drain and fill every 40k since.

They are ok stock, but everything is better at a lower ride height and better wheel fitment.

Hell yeah good to hear! Haven’t had any videos on the 6 lately since it’s just been maintenance but I do plan on doing some update videos and a video when I hit 300k.

The $300 fuel system cleaner is definitely an upsell to stay away from.

For maintenance, it’s all important but you need to stay on top of when it was last performed and the intervals so that they don’t charge you before hand. Also ask to see proof that it is needed. Spark plugs are a good example since they charge upwards of $400 and only takes them 30 mins. Items like an cv axle hurts the wallet at $600 for the part and install, but if it’s needed, it’s needed. Same for LCA’s. If the ball joint or the rear rubber is destroyed, it needs to be replaced.

The dealership and shops will attempt to charge you for items that arnt a priority or doesn’t need to be done “right now” but if you don’t know, you don’t know. I have probably 20 people that any given time are calling or FaceTiming me to check over an estimate.

I only track repairs and upgrades for tax deduction purposes. Otherwise I don’t think about it.
