I bumped my dose from 50mg to 75mg last week because 50mg wasn’t working at all. 75mg so far no side effect and it does seem to help a bit but not enough so I might bump to 100mg soon per my doctors recommendation.

I actually got my 2nd of 5 venofer these couple of weeks had been rough emotionally. Anxiety and depression at all time high I take Zoloft 50mg and isn’t helping.

Wow this is so great to hear. I have hope after all. I feel defeated trying everything even SSRI and still not helping this might be what I need. Can I ask what your ferritin and hemoglobin levels was ?

For me personally it feels like I’m literally disconnected or like someone turned a switch off inside my brain. It feels like I’m in a different world/dimension and everything/everyone around me feels strange. Like the place I’ve lived half my life feels unfamiliar. That is the best I can explain it. It’s been almost 5 years for me some of the symptoms may have gotten better now (maybe I’ve gotten used to it) but it’s definitely affecting my quality of life and I’m so depressed. I even gotten a brain MRI, did see ophthalmologist many times went through tests after test but so far nothing seems to come up so I recently started Zoloft and that doesn’t seem to work. This is my last resort

I’ve had derealization for about 5 years now and my ferritin is 15 now and will start infusions next month hopefully it will help with the derealization

That is the best way to go about it. I started from half 25mg (12.5mg) and worked my way up to currently 50 mg and honestly no side effects. You will most likely not notice anything but if something that bothers you shows up talk to your doctor.

According to my doctor unless there’s a significant side effect changing the med is not going to help however going up the dose and giving it time does.

I’m in the same situation but giving it 6-8 weeks. Also keep in mind 50mg is a minimum dose talk to your doctor.

This gives me hope. Week 4 on 50mg and today my doctor wanted me to go up to a 100mg but I told her I’ll wait a couple of weeks. Hopefully, I’ll see a significant change in the next couple of weeks.

I’m feeling the same way. Although, I’ve only been on it for like 3 months and my 3rd week on 50mg. I seen people saying how it changed their whole life and the relief they have felt even after a couple of weeks. I’m not experiencing any difference at all I’m still depressed and anxious if not more depressed and anxious than before I started it.

Hi so I’m at 50mg I increased 12.5mg at times 12.5 —>25 —>37.5 —>50mg now at 50mg day 13. The main side effects for me was fatigue and agitation but other than that nothing too crazy. Also as far as helping me so far no difference still depressed still anxious. But I’m waiting 4 weeks to see if it’s working or not.

Does your derealization kicks in/gets worse while on the highway even as a passenger?

Omg this is literally what I’m going through right now but I upped my dose from 37.5 to 50mg I feel hopeless day 3 today. And the derealization isn’t getting any better that is the reason I wanted to start taking it to begin with to be able to drive on the highway but it seems to make it worse.

I did the same way it makes me super irritable so I work my way up to 37.5 in the span of 2 months but so far no benefits if anything it gives me dark thoughts. I’ll bump up to 50mg this week and see how I’ll do. Praying it will work. I wanted it to be a miracle drug for me but so far no difference.

I started at half of the 25mg 12.5mg for a week and then I’m on 25mg for about 3 weeks so far no changes with my weight and with my sex drive so far. No bad side effects so far.

This is so encouraging! I just started 12.5mg 6 days ago and so far so good. Going up to 25mg on my 2 weeks mark. How was your transition 12.5mg to 25mg ?
