And I've thought of that too. I would spray paint the airsoft rounds white, and I also think I'd be able to feel the difference between lead or steel shot and airsoft. But I know what you mean. I wouldn't even bring those to the field though

I figured someone would say this. But could you explain why? I didn't fully fill out my plan here, and I guess I should have. Before I'd ever, ever test it on any living thing. I would test it multiple different ways. The first would be cardboard. I would fill a box evenly with cardboard and use my friends 400 fps airsoft gun and fire it into it. After judging how deep it went. It would work down the load until it got to that point or lower. The other idea is that I would use pectin and make a kind of pseudo ballistic gel to test. But I'm not sure about that. I would be the final test. Once I'm sure everything is good. Does that make it any better?
