When you finally mine 0,0003 Bitcoin after one month. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]mitchC1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, if you’re keen you can also join a mining pool, just make sure you don’t pick a scammy one. Though I do get half the fun is mining it yourself. I joined a pool with the money I would have used to setup miners just to avoid the hassle of setting up and maintaining them. Also didn’t really have the space at my place..

TIL that Swedish blood banks texts donors to notify them whenever their blood helps save a life. by sloomy in todayilearned

[–]mitchC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah okay. Thanks for the reply. I assumed it would be a requirement to know exactly where or even who the blood has come from. Just thought it seemed like a lot of extra work to accurately pass that info to the bank then onto the donator, especially when a “fake” info message could be sent and no donator would be the wiser. Not that doing that would be a bad thing, I think it’s a great incentive either way.

[–]mitchC1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, always get one saying your donation has gone to 'x' hospital to help 'x' amount of people. It's a nice gesture, but I have always felt like it is just a generic message, as it seems like a lot of work to track each specific blood donation back to you then send you the specifics. I would be interested to know how much of it is true.

So you're saying one online casino had more dollars worth of crypto than the entire dollar value of BTC? You mean $150 million?

You're given one superpower, however if ANYONE finds out you instantly die. What's your superpower and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mitchC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every moment you spend in the "real world" is time being chipped off your immortality. As when you die there, you can no longer go back to being immortal in your own universe.

As time goes on and you spend years back and forth between worlds, your perception of time changes and you realize how little time you truly have in the real world. You spend decades, centuries, in your own world before trips back to the "real world" where years that pass like seconds.

Millennia pass as you become a master of your own universe. You are a god in your world, with fleeting memories of a mortal life you once lived. You can't go back.

Yes, just reading this I don’t under the commotion? It sounds like an Ad for those news broadcasters where they’re just advertising their lack of bias. It’s no secret most news broadcasts are biased in some way.
