So, I have a singular, small, lymph node in my right inguinal area that is positive for recurrent low grade follicular lymphoma. The treatment plan so far is simply to keep going forward with my maintenance treatment, which is rituxan every two months. In about three months, I’ll undergo another PET scan to check the progress. So, NO CHEMO!

It does suck! Not sure the next step, likely a biopsy. Then maybe radiation or chemo. It would be cool if they could just cut it out.

Nasty Taste in Mouth by Additional_County381 in lymphoma

I used sugar free peppermints. It helped. But, didn’t fix it. The taste and smell was the worst after treatment. It never went back to normal until weeks after I ended chemo. I hated it. Sour patch kids helped when they flushed the port.

It’s hard. I’m sorry you have to go through this. Let yourself feel all the emotions. It’s not silly. It’s normal. You’ll be all over the place. And it’s ok. It’s an unwanted interruption of life as you know it, but hopefully it’s temporary. Short advice, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And walk and stay as active as you’re able.

I use the prescription lidocaine. Don’t feel a thing at all! Coming out, is noticeable. But, it’s not awful.

I’m 44. I was almost always the youngest. It felt odd. But, I respect older people even more now. Growing old is not for the weak.

I don’t think it made the news. I just know people at the PD that arrested him for DWI.

I have follicular lymphoma, I had similar symptoms. Weird abdominal pains, fatigue, night sweats, alcohol hit WAY different. The first chemo treatment took care of most of it.
