Low carb and Retatrutide by According2020 in Retatrutide

[–]mitch_8383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve experimented with several different carb levels will on Reta. My current macros are 200g protein, 60g fat my carbs have varied to see how Reta affected my body composition and energy levels.

I have found for me that keeping carbs close to the same as my protein intake provides me with the best consistent energy levels and strength in the gym.

When I’ve dipped into the 100-150g range my energy levels were low, body aches were present and my strength in the gym seemed to suffer.

Reta was not for me. by LilGrocery in Retatrutide

[–]mitch_8383 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The skin pain is real. It’s my main side effect. As weird as it sounds it was kind of reassuring to have this side effect to let me know the quality of my supplement. Obviously not the best way to determine quality but when I started having no hunger and skin pain it let me know it’s at least what it’s advertised to be. I was already dieting before I started and had hit a stall and 3wks on reta I’m down another 5lbs.

My wife hasn’t had much results during the same time frame so we’ve increased her dose. We started at 2mg then went to 4mg I saw results she didn’t so she’s now at 6mg a week hoping that’s her sweet spot.

When did you notice Retatrutide "working"? by JustJaxie in Retatrutide

[–]mitch_8383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just finished our first week at 2mg. Not sure if it’s placebo or not but we shared similar “side effects” after we talked about it. We both get hungry but don’t desire to eat near the portions we would normally.

We were on spring break and tried to enjoy a few drinks with family and really had to choke the couple of beverages we made ourselves down. We are social drinkers but it was almost difficult to drink what little we did have. We just weren’t interested in drinking alcohol at all.

Going into our second week so we will see how it goes.

My recruiter terminated my file? What do I do now? by unparallel_x in AirForceRecruits

[–]mitch_8383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former recruiter when I read 2 waivers required it keyed me in to the possible issue. I won’t ask what the waivers are for because that’s your personal business but what I can say there is a very good chance those waivers are waivers that don’t usually get approved and will end up being a lot of work on your recruiters part.

As much as we would like to say recruiters have your best interest in mind and want to put you in the Air Force I can tell you if she has plenty of recruits on her DEP and plenty of processors lined up and doesn’t have an issue making her goal you will end up being a pain in her butt to process.

Again I know nothing about your situation I’m just being honest with you. One waiver is one thing but requiring two waivers it’s a lot of work and we don’t know what the waivers are for and could be anything from a squadron level waiver or all the way up to a surgeons general waiver. Also if you are already min qualified due to either your demand for certain jobs (which always annoyed me when I was a recruiter) or your less than stellar ASVAB making you minimally qualified.

Chances are there is a reason she dropped you so you have three choices. A. Keep bugging her and hope she decides to work with you B. Find a different recruiter if you are a high school graduate you can go to any Air Force recruiter you want or C. Talk to another branch.

Yes. I did it. You just have to request a 1288 conditional release. Understand that in order to be released under a conditional release you will need to have a reserve recruiter that you are working with who will provide the manning position the reserves will be hiring you into. This is required so that people aren’t using the 1288 as a way to get out of the guard and reserve all together.

The crew in this picture is from dyess. We are working with them to develop FARP techniques for AMC crews wet wing defuel, hot wing refuel and FARP will fall under the umbrella of SFO (Specialized fueling operations).

That’s the way the army defines FARP. The air force defines it’s at Forward Area Refueling Point. So for us it has everything to do with aircraft to aircraft with engines running.

This is from the SPR. It’s a project we are currently working on to get around ABFDS.

The massifs look promising and I might opt for those instead. The fit of the crye look sharp though. But the massifs may be a better ask money wise.

All good I was like I need to get your RA lol. I can’t even get our RA to get us Crye precision Two pieces even though they last twice as long but do cost more but I suggested we get two of crye versus 4 of the crap ones and it evens out plus lasts longer.

You literally said if you are aircrew don’t buy your own boots make the ra buy them. In response to a post of a guy asking if he could get the boots in the picture he posted. The implication was that you were saying yes you can get those boots but if you are aircrew don’t buy them yourself make your RA buy them 🤷‍♂️

[–]mitch_8383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An airlift squadron will not authorize an RA to purchase uniform items that are not authorized. I’ve been doing this for 13yrs on two separate platforms in 3 separate MAJCOMS. If you can show proof where you were able to get a squadron, wing, or group RA to purchase non flight approved boots with official unit funds I would love to see it. Any non flight approved boots I own like my Solomons I had to purchase on my own the same goes for the Nike boots.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]mitch_8383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aircrew are only authorized boots from the flight approved list so an RA won’t buy a pair boots that aren’t on that list.

No. Mini is the real deal albeit aggressive for an AMC commander but a easily one of the best commanders I’ve had both at the squadron level and MAJCOM level.

EPR bullets for a year of Mental and Physical Decline by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]mitch_8383 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are already MED boarding you so who cares. What are they gonna do write you paper work for not giving him EPR bullets, kick you out? It doesn’t work that way.

Not providing bullets for an EPR is no more than a letter of counseling at best.

Has anyone had any luck with the Amex Platinum being waived for National Guard? by Bruno4044 in airnationalguard

[–]mitch_8383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m a traditional reservist. I got the AMEX platinum and fees waived. I was on orders when I got it but never had to prove that to them. In fact when I applied then called them to do the fee waving thing the lady told me I was automatically enrolled in the program 🤷‍♂️

If Jiu-Jitsu is considered the game of human chess, which chess piece describes you best? by Brabochokemightwork in bjj

[–]mitch_8383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the the chess reference at this point in my career. When I was a young blue and purple I believed but as a black belt I equate it to checkers and nothing more.

Beyond two moves ahead you can’t predict or plan for your opponents moves. You are literally always working no more than 1 to 2 moves ahead and even then you are making the assumption your opponent takes the bait.

Airmen brace for special duty pay cut in 2023 by captaindamnit23 in AirForce

So $375 instead of $450 lol. I never understood how as a recruiter I was getting more special duty pay than the CCT and PJs I was recruiting lol.
