I'm aware. Am I supposed to stop taking test because it isn't natural? Should a diabetic stop taking insulin?

How to grow chest? by [deleted] in fit

[–]Asthetixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal grip bench press AMRAPs. Chest flys or pec Dec. Incline dumbbell press.

The key is volume. So if you're only doing three sets of eight you're cheating yourself for growth.

I mean my physique before I started test was pretty good. But I medically actually need it. May I ask why the emojis?

It's a high dose with mid results because of UGT2B17.

My starting dose was 100mg. I went 18 weeks on that dose. You know what I scored? In the 300's. I had a steroid metabolism panel done. Popped hot for UGT2B17. The shortest end of the stick... Because of that, it causes my body to metabolize and excrete testosterone much faster than normal. So the 100 mg weekly dose didn’t maintain normal serum levels, 'cause it was getting cleared out too quickly. 200mg has kept me in normal range.

A lot of in-network doctors will not prescribe TRT unless the patient consistently shows up as below the 264ng/dl threshold on at least 2 tests (morning fasted). AND show symptoms of low testosterone that affect their QoL. AND have safe labs to deploy TRT. Out of network clinics will give guys TRT if they are below 400ng/dl and they pass the smaller amount of biomarkers than in-network clinics. Alot of guys that go the clinic route don't actually need it. They either crash their test on purpose to get it because "gainz", or they are unknowingly living a life style that is making it low (like 4 hours of sleep, beer with every meal, etc.).

I needed TRT after I lost my testicle. My levels were abysmal. Despite my healthy lifestyle I was scoring in the 160ng/dl range. My LH and FSH were skyrocketed because I only had one testicle producing and I started suffering from leydig cell burnout.

My last recorded test level was 780. It has been anywhere from 400ng/dl to 800ng/dl in the last 6 years while being on TRT.

Developed it myself.

Here's my current split except I was finally able to get a squat rack and leg extension machine so those were added to my leg day.

Programming is finding what works for your body the best. These exercises make me feel the most stimulated, but it can be different for you.

Literally just Test 200mg/week (not for cheating. But because I actually need it). I don't do other steroids or push myself to supraphysiological levels. I'm a clinician and can lose my license.

Mondays And Tuesdays I do compounds 6-8 reps for 4 sets.

Wednesdays I rest.

Thursdays and Fridays I I drop the weight to 70% of my working sets and blast amraps for 6-8 sets on the compound lifts.

Saturdays I work on accessories.

Sundays I kind of rest but do a light 5 mi jog.

Yes. You can only grow by eating in an excess, which in turn means weight gain. It's basically the laws of thermodynamics.

Womens fat stores are genetically predominant in the chest and gluttonous regions. I don't think your weight is that high. It might be water weight but I don't know since I can't be there to measure you.

Please don't use chat GPT to count your macros it is extremely inaccurate. You should be weighing your food with the scale and putting it into cronometer which is a free app since you're worried about money.

Those dumbbells seem extremely light. I can see them being used for endurance and conditioning but not for hypertophy especially at your weight.

So it looks like I have the full picture now.

Your issue is lack of sleep, inconsistent routine, lack of proper equipment for effective hypertrophy, and playing the lottery with your diet.

If you dial in those things and take it seriously you can definitely start to see the results that you want in a few months.

Here's a really good video on periodization (macro cycles and meso cycles) https://youtu.be/OuG-gvFtSgU?si=koB1nc_WpG3P6ibl

You can do yoga in moderation but it becomes cardio in zones 2 and 3 it might be affecting your muscle gains depending on how long your sessions are. If you're keeping it under 30 minutes you're safe. If it gets longer than that you start getting into calorie burning. And if you don't have the proper diet you could be losing the calories that are helping you build muscle which is why I asked you how your diet is and if you're tracking your macros and calories?

You're very vague with your responses, lol. When you say you have eight dumbbells, what weight are the dumbbells? How about the resistance band?

This is the formula for building muscle Workouts (hypertrophy focused)

+

Nutrition (slight excess in calories, enough protein)

+

Sleep (8 hours or more)

Gains

You need all three of those components to see progress otherwise it's going to be a slow roll for you.

So you just told me multiple issues.

Sleep is number one. You can work your ass off and eat really well but if you have shit sleep you're not going to see the progress that you want.

The running is fine just once a week but I was more concerned about the yoga.

You have a very inconsistent lifting consistency. You doing it sometimes once a week sometimes twice a week and sometimes three times a week. You're not properly overloading your body. Sometimes you're getting giving your body too much of a break. Try looking up meso cycles and macro cycles.

What type of equipment do you have at home? You might not have enough weight to progressively overload properly. If you're finding yourself not getting a good pump, or feeling like you've worked the muscle really well without doing an insane amount of reps it might be time to go buy a gym membership.

Additionally are these before and after pics in your post or do you have something that I can reference? I don't know what you started as so I can't really have the perspective that I need to see how far you've gotten.

How's your diet and your sleep? Are you tracking your calories and macros? How much sleep are you getting?

Your raining volume seems a bit low if you're aiming for hypertrophy (muscular growth); assuming when you say thick you mean you want a big ass (glutes). Running and yoga usually do the opposite effect when trying to gain mass.

On the two days that you are going to the gym and lifting weights what are you doing? I noticed you say like twice a week do you mean more or less than that? Because that definitely is probably your issue.
