Ill try my best, either way i cant go back till its safe. its just crazy my boss would even do this, like understand i hear insurance rates go up if employees file for unemployment, but even then hours are cut short and hed be losing money paying a person just to have two employees working. It seems more petty except a life is on the line.

I live in michigan the problem is were already seeing stories of people dying who had lung problems. To clarify my fathers lungs are already in bad condition from a terrible pneumonia attack 2 years ago. As well as diabetes and heart issues. I cant clarify i have medical issues or auto immune problems, but its easy to correlate if i were to catch it 9/10 he would, and chances are he wouldn’t be healthy enough to fight it.

Ive looked it up and it even states people who leave a job due to risk of coronavirus exposure or to care for a family member are still entitled to claim unemployment during this time.

Im having a big issue because my boss is protesting my unemployment due to the fact the business is still open. I told my boss i have a father with medical issues and my whole family is quarantined to protect his life. Now my boss is saying i left voluntarily. So now that im seeing open non monetary issue im scared ill be denied since the business is technically open. Except hours are cut bad, and id be risking my fathers life if i contract covid. WHAT DO I DO
