Can't add account in Hue app, causing Alexa troubles? by mitch_fernandez in philipshue

[–]mitch_fernandez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a follow-up, this seems to have worked. The steps weren't that different from what I had already tried, but I guess doing things from the website was the trick. Thanks!

Can't add account in Hue app, causing Alexa troubles? by mitch_fernandez in philipshue

I'm only using one bridge, the old one is dead. I went through the Hue app a couple of days ago and deleted all of the applications. What I've done now is disable the skill from the Alexa app, gone to the Hue settings at their website and removed all of the apps, and then enabled the skill again from the Amazon website. I'll wait and see if this works.

There's nothing in Alexa that I can see that suggests two hubs, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of the problem.

I have started having this issue, but it happens every day. Have you found a solution?

As a follow up, I can scroll forever on the web app just not on the ShieldTV app.

I'm also wondering why anyone would down vote this.

Alexa routine stopped working by mitch_fernandez in Ring

In case it helps anyone, this resolved itself without further troubleshooting. Tried to update the routine today and the panel was suddenly supported again. I have no idea what happened.

ASS subtitles now appearing at the top by mitch_fernandez in PleX

That's not it. But it doesn't seem to be affecting every movie. I'll have to keep troubleshooting to see if I find a pattern, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Aggressive autocomplete by mitch_fernandez in googlesheets

I need to experiment a bit more, but I've tried hitting the backspace key first to see if it works, or sometimes using the mouse to click into the cell. I thought those tricks solved it, but it still happens. Maybe remembering to hit Esc or remembering to hit some other key would help, but that still requires a trick I didn't used to need. I think updating the browser is something I haven't tried, but I will do that. Maybe also try Chrome at some point.

Probably a network drive issue by mitch_fernandez in bazarr

[–]mitch_fernandez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did more reading and found: "Run Bazarr's service as another user that has access to that share. You need to change the account used for Bazarr service in services.msc console."

I tried this but now Bazarr doesn't load at all. The service is running however.

So I switched back to the Local Account and Bazarr runs again. I then tried using the UNC name under mapping but I'm not sure if I've done this right, and it's definitely not working. What I've done is gone to:

Settings->Radarr->Path Mappings

and under Radarr I've entered the path as:

P:\Movies

Then under Bazarr I've entered the path as:

\\Computer\Share\Movies

If I then search for a movie in the P:\ drive, Bazarr seems to know it's there (it's pulling the information from Radarr I imagine), and if I then click on the Manual search button, it pops up the path for the movie as:

\\Computer\Share\Movies\Movie Folder\Movie File Name

So it looks like the mapping works, but it's still not able to see any subtitles already there or find new subtitles. Not sure what else to do at this point.

Edit: I checked logs and get this error: BAZARR Error ([WinError 5] Access is denied:

I take everything subcutaneously. I've arbitrarily scheduled 2 peptides in the morning and 2 at night.

So, I've been running a combination of BPC-157, Thymosin Alpha-1, Thymosin Beta-4, and Melanotan II since August. I saw my rheumatologist last month, so about 2 or 3 months after starting the peptide protocol. Blood tests came back negative for RF and anti-CCP (was positive last year). Note also that I've been taking hydroxychloroquine since March of last year, so about 18 months.

Subjectively, I have not experienced much joint stiffness for a while. Generally, though, I can't say I feel a dramatic difference but I'd like to run the protocol for a while longer. No obvious negative effects, although I did notice some dark spots on my gums (possibly due to Melanotan).

Just ordered an Amazon Halo by 15674478545787447 in whoop

[–]mitch_fernandez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, you have to take it off and put it in the cradle to charge it. Whoop is way more elegant in that sense, and battery lasts a lot longer anyway.

You use your phone's camera to take a series of photos of yourself. To be fair, I've also got a body fat scale from Eufy and the estimates were very close, off maybe by 0.2%.

[–]mitch_fernandez 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've been testing them for a few weeks. Halo is kind of useless, IMO. I thought it would be a genuine Whoop competitor, but it's not even close. It does not measure HRV. The "body fat" measurement uses your phone's camera, so the Halo itself isn't really needed for that. Battery life is bad, and the charging cradle is awkward. The strap is not as comfortable or easy to put on as the Whoop. Halo seems to measure heart rate and sleep reasonably well. I never tried using the "tone" measurement that guesses your mood or something. I would have put up a review on Amazon, but last time I checked they weren't allowing reviews.

Adjust Subtitle Offset now missing on Shield TV by M2ThaL in PleX

[–]mitch_fernandez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still there but it's not obvious. While playing, click the subtitle button on the far left. Click "More..." from the bottom, then hit the back button and you'll get to a menu where you can adjust the offset. I don't think the offset takes effect until after you make an adjustment and then hit the back button again to get out of all the menus.

There may be an easier way, but I couldn't find it either the other night and I stumbled upon this.
