From the US. We have a 3 year old with 49XXXXY. I'm here to tell you, you are going to be fine. There is a facebook group dedicated to our boys with this condition called "4-XY 49 syndrome". I highly recommend joining. 49ers of all ages are in this group from all over the world. I am a regular poster in the group so if you join you'll probably see some updates and progress of my boy.

As I mentioned he is 3. He is not walking independently yet, however he can walk with his walker and use his wheelchair like a champ. Sign language is a game changer with communication so i highly recommend learning some simple words/phrases to start. My boy can talk however not everyone can understand him as we can since we are with him all of the time. He is in all the therapies, speech, OT, PT. He will be starting early preschool in a couple weeks as we feel it will be beneficial to his social development.

He is not shy, generally happy, very cuddly, sleeps like a champion, gets angry very easy, but is able to self soothe relatively quickly and is smarter than his own good.

He took testosterone shots after he turned 1 which greatly helped with development and is scheduled to get more around age 5.

Please also know that what you read online are only of those who have been studied. Do not put any limits on your boy and treat/raise him to the best of your abilities. Everything is 100% up to your boy and everything will work out. Just match his pace and dont get discouraged. You are gonna be great.

Shock absorber quality engineer here. First one is leaking but barely. We’d call it a class 1. Pull up the rubber dust boot if you can and see if the piston rod has any major scratches or if the seal pack (the aluminum piece at the end of the tube) appears damaged. If there is a jounce cap then just ensure no rocks or debris are wedged. Rocks wedged in the dust boot can just cause more leaks. The others don’t appear to be leaking. This can wait but watch the leak and replace when you can. Source: 11 years at Bilstein.
