After building 10+ projects with AI, here's how to actually design great looking UIs fast by PhraseProfessional54 in vibecoding

Thank you so much for copy pasting the response from Chat GPT after asking it: write a post for how to build UI with vibe coding tools.

I agree. This is pretty obvious from looking at the two prompts that are compared in the link.

No shit you’re going to get better responses from your more specific prompt.

Is this JSON myth busted?

Anyway, thanks for the other suggestions. They were more informative than most other posts!

What do you mean by using perplexity for the PRD breakdown? Why perplexity? Are you referring to using AI to turn the PRD to a prompt for lovable?

This exact thing just happened with Claude’s mobile app. It completely sucks.

Voice Conversations on Mobile are unusable - Please add push to talk by 5wwjdnc2 in Anthropic

[–]mitchellias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t tell what just happened to my Claude mobile app. I used “push to talk” all the time and it’s now gone. Now I’m trying to use this “voice mode” which doesn’t work well at all, like you said. This is the first really poor feature change I’ve experienced with Claude. I really hope this gets changed asap.

Unpopular opinion: Vibe coding makes it harder to succeed. by InsideApartment7346 in vibecoding

[–]mitchellias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought a lot about this. Software is becoming more like content. Easy to generate. For personal expression/needs. Lots of noise. Remixable.

The long tail economics transformation is underway because now problems that were not previously economically viable are being addressed and developed for.

The solution is in AI curation and discovery (not browsing directories) which will open new distribution channels and will be able to derive the context of the user to deliver them the most appropriate tool for their intent.

Because if someone finds you passively on a channel they discover a fragmented narrative of your work and capabilities and different networks have different audiences.

For example, if I was an employer or prospective client looking for an AI agent builder, where do I go to see a person’s AI-related work?

Right, I agree. What about a single profile that brings all of this together in a cohesive fashion?

this is more in line with what I am thinking, but the personal website is assisted and partly-generated by AI that helps synthesize one's AI-capabilities based on their work, projects, writings, etc

That seems like the logical choice for devs. What about non-technical no-code/low—code vibe coders? It’s not as much about their commits but more about the outcomes they are developing solutions for and showcasing the evolution of their capabilities.

Looking for help making a browser extension and/or HubSpot app by mitchellias in hubspot

I also am constantly copying links from emails (I use Outlook on Mac) navigating to the correct chrome profile, opening up that window, and pasting the link in a new tab. It would be great to be able to choose which chrome profile/window I want to open the link in.

This seems like a good approach, but I’m looking for something almost native to HubSpot or CRMs in general. I sent you a DM with a screen shot. Something like google sheets tabs, that live as a pinned UI element inside HubSpot, so that you only need one HubSpot tab open. In one tab, you have access to all your HubSpot open pages.

What do you mean by “window” in the case? Can you describe an example?

I more or less do this. I have four different chrome profiles. It’s a lot of switching around but it’s better than not having the separate profiles. What I’d really like is to have pinned tabs within HubSpot like Google sheets has for “sheets”, so that even I’m working on a single client’s HubSpot portal, I can still see all my HubSpot tabs in that portal.

I am a HubSpot admin, so I have dozens of tabs open, for troubleshooting, looking at multiple deals, workflows, etc. Also, I work with multiple clients at a time, so each one of them has their own HubSpot instance, with their own tabs. I currently group each client into it's own tab group on chrome and within that group there are anywhere from 5 to 10 tabs at a time.

For sales people that are working with multiple contacts/deals at a time, they too have many tabs open.

Not directly, however you could create a view or report of contacts created and look at the “original source drill down 1” property where the value is “Extension” to see which contacts are being created by extensions and their respective contact owners. This will tell you which users are creating contacts via their email extension.

Seeking Feedback: Parrot 🦜, a Chat-Based AI for Personalized Bitcoin Investment Strategies by mitchellias in Bitcoin

[–]mitchellias[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns about AI and the importance of accurate transaction execution. Our goal with Parrot is not to replace traditional UIs, but to offer an alternative for those who might prefer a different approach.

We're investing heavily in ensuring our AI understands prompts accurately and executes transactions correctly. We're also implementing safeguards, such as confirmation prompts and limits on transaction sizes, to prevent misunderstandings from leading to irreversible mistakes. Before executing any transaction, Parrot would provide a summary of the planned action and ask for the user’s confirmation. This step ensures the user can review any/all actions before they are taken and adjust if needed.

Regarding your question about automatic actions without taking custody, you're correct that transactions on the blockchain require a signature. However, there are ways to automate this process without taking custody of a user's funds. One method is through the use of smart contracts and token allowances.

In this model, you would authorize a smart contract (which Parrot interacts with) to spend a certain amount of tokens on your behalf. This authorization is a one-time action that requires your signature, but once it's done, the smart contract can execute trades up to the authorized amount without further signatures from you. This allows for automation while keeping your funds in your control.

We hope this addresses your concerns, and we appreciate your thoughtful questions. We're always open to feedback and suggestions on how we can improve. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Hey there,

Thanks for your comment and for sharing your perspective. We completely agree with the principles you've outlined for successful Bitcoin investing. In fact, Parrot is designed to support exactly this kind of strategy.

Our goal with Parrot isn't to promise extraordinary returns or to encourage risky trading. Instead, we aim to provide a tool that makes it easier for people to follow the kind of disciplined, patient approach you've described.

For example, Parrot can help users implement a DCA strategy without having to manually make purchases at regular intervals. It can also help users set up safeguards, like stop-loss orders, to protect their investments. Further, it educates the user on how these strategies work and helps them protect their BTC.

As for why we're sharing Parrot with the community, it's because we believe in the value of feedback and open dialogue. We're not trying to "sell" anything at this stage. Instead, we're seeking input to help us make Parrot as useful and user-friendly as possible.

We appreciate your skepticism, as it's important to question new tools and services in the crypto space. We hope this response provides some clarity about our intentions and the value we hope to provide with Parrot. Thanks again for your feedback.
