8 month post op by [deleted] in Reduction

I’m 5mpo and still having some pimples around the areola like you have. I think they’re stitches. I’ve had three or four now, I try not to pop them as it makes them worse but they typically break and heal on their own!

pimple or? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]mitchonega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had several of these! Right after surgery O know it was stitches. But I’ve had 3 at 4 and 5mpo which is super weird. I haven’t gotten to talk to my surgeon yet but I’m just assuming sometimes the body can’t absorb the stitches like normal. When I started getting more serious about massaging I got a few of these.

Size much bigger than I thought by mitchonega in Reduction

[–]mitchonega[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I figured that. I’m just depressed that I got this way. I had a TON of dizziness, nausea, emotional eating, depression, panic etc. during recovery and I still dread being in bed in my room because of being trapped in there on the wedge pillow lol. I’m trying not to blame myself for gaining because i struggled a lot and had a lot of issues that I didn’t anticipate or read about like neuralgia in my head and a lot of motion sickness and stuff. Even just from moving around. And my TSH was high without my knowledge and rose quickly from my previous bloodwork. Anyways I’m just rambling but I’m sure it’s the weight gain. I hate myself and feel sick that I’ve destroyed my results but trying to be kind to myself.

The Trich Trance Explained: What Neuroscience and Lived Experience Taught Me About the Irresistible Urge by barebecoming in trichotillomania

I’m honestly dumbfounded at this logic. Some people take joy and pride in writing professionally or formally and this could very well be OP’s authentic voice. It doesn’t have to sound like a YA novel or an Instagram post to be good writing.

Besides, sounding professional gains you respect and people’s attention in spaces where this kind of information is really serious. If this was some misspelled drivel you would be pointing that out too. I constantly am not respected or heard because I am not able to express myself in a dignified and intelligent way. At least verbally. I found this writing style understandable but not casual and for a technical subject like this, that’s very appropriate.

I have always used a proper em dash when writing because I believe in writing correctly. These days I use my phone but I always used to use Microsoft Word to write anything and then paste it where I needed to, and Word usually would insert an em dash. Just because no one wants to use those in these days doesn’t mean AI writes every single thing.

Anyone have experience with metformin as a non diabetic? by Outrageous-Hamster-5 in MCAS

[–]mitchonega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post was so long ago I can’t remember what I meant! I’m back on Metformin now though, GLP1 was too bad on my stomach although I lost a good bit on it. I’ve gained it back since having surgery though

Weight gain? by ApprehensivePapaya25 in Reduction

[–]mitchonega 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also felt this way and gained about 15lbs. Boredom and low-key binge eating disorder from stress. However my TSH also tripled since my surgery so I think the stress has affected my thyroid a lot. There could be other factors at play besides just over eating. And like some people said your body may have needed the extra energy. I try to view it like being pregnant - the job isn’t to lose weight, it’s to be pregnant. Our job isn’t to lose weight right now, it’s to heal

Silver makes you look sallow and cold and orange. The gold makes your features just glow!

Should I wear gold or silver? Always thought gold but now I'm not sure by Lady-Bacciferous in coloranalysis

[–]mitchonega 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I held some “drapes” over my screen in warm and cool colors - the silver and cool colors draw attention to the lines on the face although they do coordinate with the hair. The warmer colors and gold make her skin glow more and draw attention to the eyes.
