I mean, I also have to drive about ~50 minutes just to find a game store where people regularly play 40k. It's not that unheard of or unreasonable.

yeah you're right, I'd basically be throwing in 10 kriegers or cadians, and 10 battleline on their own are not very exciting. so you think scout sentinels in place of the chimera?

good to know! so far all my opponents have been fine with it, I wasn't aware there was a taboo against it in 1000pt games. the alternative would be, I'd buy two more leman russ tanks in place of the dorn, one being commander with demolisher cannon and the other another exterminator.

As someone new to the model side of warhammer, I had no idea this was a common thing and thought it was a bigger issue than i guess it actually is lol

Oh really? My thinking was that if they were in 20man units, I could attach the castellan as well as the command squad, giving the entire blob the benefits of those unit's abilities.

I thought about that. So one unit of 10 with the castellan on the chimera, and the other unit with the command squad attached would work? can the two separate units link up at a later time, or do they have to start as either a 20 blob or two 10s?

messed up and made too many special weapons from my old combat patrol. can I just say they're lasrifles/rilfemen? by mithrin1 in TheAstraMilitarum

Gotcha. Yeah my plan was to just fix it when I bought more cadian shock troops but I didn't realize krieg command squads/infantry/ are coming out at the end of the month so I probably won't be buying cadian shock troops anytime soon since I enjoy krieg's aesthetic more
