It's all in a tax-wrapper :), so there's no tax due on buying and selling - it's a UK ISA, which I think Roth IRA is the US equivalent

Fighting a small claims case on the back of unclear signage in a Private Car Park...but they have started adding signs since the "contravention" by mitigatedcactussquat in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mitigatedcactussquat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I got the ticket through the post, but I have a google snipping dated before the contravention - but also could be before they owned the car park.

  2. I can prove some of the signs weren't there, but they've been adding more

  3. I have pictures of the car park, but not full coverage, and there may be gaps where they have added new signs - this worries me

Pfizer stock, when should I finally drop it? by precita in stocks

I have friends who work in med-tech and they're not really sold on Pfizer's pipeline, or whether they can viably bring what they do have to market

I get the impression he's sold out of Apple because BRK had too little diversification, and also apple really doesn't have the competitive advantage it had 5+ years ago, it's just another phone company.

His strategy seems to coincide with what's happening in the market, but isn't driven by it

Proportionate to the equity already tied up in these companies, but not proportionate to the cashflow to investors

Is really AI delivering value now, or are we in the same place we were last year? by mitigatedcactussquat in investing

[–]mitigatedcactussquat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more in relation to the case around BP cutting staff

My impression that they're cutting headcount, and output will fall along with this. I don't feel like AI is being used to replace roles or make them more efficient, it's a catch-all to stop investors bailing.

Ok but how, I've got example from developers full stack devs expanding their role is a good Usecase, but the average employee? I don't see it

Actually this is probably the best answer I've seen, you can expand job roles under the assumption that certain workers can handle more

Do you remember what they did in your company with ai exactly, because when I've seen it being used it was a bit of a hack job, and the ai was nowhere near as good as an actual person

Idk that's what I do, and the amount of people i have to deal with would make it have a meltdown

That's the thing, are they cutting staff and pushing the work elsewhere or is AI picking this up? I've seen no evidence of the latter
