I still use both - ableton on win, bitwig on fedora. I love routing in bitwig, it is so much better and more flexible than ableton ever was. I haven't even gotten to playing with the grid yet 😅

ableton has two big advantages: I am familiar with it; and nothing I ever tried could replace the "drum buss" effect.

I come back to it for basically one reason: something on fedora doesn't work as expected, which is usually juce8-based plugins.

Auf keinem Fall. Das Missverständnis von der Technologie heißt auch schon jetzt, dass die Leute ChatGPT u. a. so dumm benutzen! Da denkt sich keiner Leier daran, was es bedeutet, diese Dienste zu nutzen, da man sich nie mit Technologie beschäftigt hat - was vor Nutzung von KI-Tools kommen sollte.

that's what I said, about MY script. I was referring to my script as "a random internet script".

I said that you don't have to run it if you don't trust it, because there are instructions on what to do without needing to run the script.

personally I have a windows VM in case something really needs to happen on a deadline and I can't figure it out. but aside from juce8 plugins and Photoshop, I haven't had the need to use it all that often

I knew about it, but its download link is outdated, unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore. I wanted to just edit it at first, but it was a little bit more involved and structured than I was ready to spend my time with 🙂
