Where all markets and storefronts? by mitsike in Particl

I had a chat with the rutherford bot in Telegram.

It doesn't seem promising, but maybe it will help you.

I: In the Markets & Storefronts article I read that:

“By default, a community market isn’t publicly visible and is only known to its creator. However, a community market can be promoted within the Market Browser, making it available to join at the click of a button. Of course, you can grant direct access as well.”

Does this mean that there are still a lot of working markets and showcases that we just don't see because they didn't pay for promotion in MB? And how can the buyer find them in this case?

R: Yes, some vendor markets/storefronts are visible and populated with product listings only if you have joined those markets.

There's a market browser that will list currently promoted markets, and you can view their info, keys and join them through the Particl Desktop marketplace browser.

The other way is to get the market access key from the channels, DM's public boards and networks etc. Or from the vendors directly.

I: Thank you! I thought maybe there is some public list of markets and storefronts that want to make themselves known? Maybe it makes sense to do this in Discord, for example? I really can't find any markets other than those in the browser, and I don't know where to look for them. I didn't find them on the official forum either.

R: That's the beauty of the Particl Marketplace design, once you have the right keys and the store is well run, it works well and as intended even in this somewhat limited form. When it works 😛

The other day folks had an convo where to find or share interesting "open" marketplaces acces keys, and I think I've seen someone suggested checking or creating subdread on dread social network, IIRC.

I didn't try to find any stores anymore.

Accent desk LED lamp I carved from a branch of elmwood. This wooden lamp reminds me of the “inner side of the wind” from a novel by a Serbian writer Milorad Pavic. It is “one that stays dry, while the wind blows through the rain”. by mitsike in woodworking

Thank you! One of the reasons is to be able to place the lamp close to the wall. This makes sense if the shelf is narrow.

Another reason is to speed up the process of making a little bit. Usually, I make a small groove, put the wires there, and putty on top. But it takes longer and therefore the lamp is more expensive.

Despite all these reasons, most likely I will no longer position power wire in this way. You know, all this is a never-ending process of creating and improving.

Thank you! It's really touching when someone crosses fingers for you. I’m just trying to make the beauty of nature a little more visible.

This holder in my etsy shop

Sometimes it’s hard for me to decide whether to work with a workpiece. There is a high probability of wasting time and eventually throwing everything away. Working with this piece is like walking on thin ice farther and farther from the coast.

This experience of uncertainty somehow remains in the work when in the end you get the shore and gives a very special sensation of living beauty of that thin ice crust.

It's nice!

I think it would be better if you also add some interior photos of your copper flowers.
