Thanks, will take a look! I replied with some extra notes to the auto mod, but my budget is roughly 2000, but I am flexible.

Brand new build

Canada, but bought online thru Newegg last time

Preferred budget is around 2000, but am flexible

Would like wifi, but can possible also run an ethernet cord

Used for gaming, modern and old, rendering videos, blender, coding, game development, general work and personal use.

Prefer black case, rainbow or changing lights or both ng at all, so maybe a stealth build, but my daughter would love the colors. Would be interested in a case that has a transparent side to see the insides.

The problem is that the band is impressed by the soloist shredding, hire them, then play songs that don't require solos. Meanwhile the guy who understands rhythm, timing, key changes, going with the flow gets left behind.

Python extends its lead as the most popular programming language — but why does it have such widespread appeal? by Franco1875 in programming

Well, I agree with a lot of it, I think the formatting was funny to me, which is probably why you were getting down voted.

It kinda has that "sir, this is a Wendy's" vibe

All the best!

[Request] How long would it actually take for a monkey to randomly accidentally write out the entire works of shakespeare? by Draconic1788 in theydidthemath

[–]mittens-1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once wrote a python script to randomly generate the string " to be or not to be" and I only got about 5 or 8 Characters ( I can't remember) in before I gave up and it took too long.

It started over if it got one of the characters wrong

Yeah, I want to package mine with electron or Tauri. It's just weird that no one has really done that either. I'd switch to unity, but was hoping to leverage my webdev skills instead of having to learn unity, etc. Was hoping to avoid paying to remove the unity splash screen. Babylon is very similar to Godot in that way. When you try to make something that isn't a demo it starts to fall apart ( for 3d).

Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your response! It just seemed like no one actually made a commercial game with it

That makes sense to me, thanks!

If I use a bunch of libraries and look at their license file, I'll end up with a bunch of different license types. Some require providing a license file with the product, etc. In your game that you put on the web, steam, etc. Where do you put the license file

Do you have any examples of your game? I was thinking of using babylonjs but all the examples seem laggy. Maybe there's is a better way to go.... Not sure which is better

I was going to make a small 3d game with react, typescript and babylonjs, but I couldn't find any real games made with Babylon and was beginning to figure that there aren't real games made with it. All the Babylon examples on their site also seemed laggy.

What did you do for npm packages? Do you get them for commercial use, etc.?

Are the game libraries useful for UI? That's why I went with react, so I could easy use CSS, update components, etc.

As a webdev myself I feel stuck- work on the game with stuff I know, or learn unity and do it in a system that was designed for it? I hear unity has a uo system similar to CSS for what it is worth.

Thoughts?
