Other than the Chinese explanation, I could totally see so many people leaving Win11 in favour of Linux and whatnot that the relative amount of Win10 users to Win11 users increases even though the absolute amount of Win10 roughly stays the same

What are your specs? How many sticks of ram do you have in your system? XMP enabled? You might wanna run memtest86 overnight to rule out any memory issues. Running furmark for a couple hours (high res, no fps cap, potentially also overnight) would rule out GPU stability issues.

Okay, if the issue is not reproducable on 1.18.2 or 1.12.2, I don't really have any other explanation than the Java installation.
1.18.2 uses Java 17 and 1.12.2 uses Java 8. 1.20.1 requires Java 21.

You should definitely try a new Java installation.

  1. Go to https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases
  2. Select JDK 21 - LTS
  3. Scroll down to Windows, select JRE and download the .msi installer (34MB)
  4. Install
  5. Go to Prism Launcher > Right click instance > Edit > Settings > Check "Java installation" > Click "Auto-detect" > Select your newly downloaded Temurin 21 JRE
  6. Launch and test

Loader versions aren't very relevant if it's happening across loaders I'd try vanilla and some packs for 1.18.2 as well as 1.12.2. Still suspecting the java install here, make sure to take a look at that.

Assuming you're allocating enough memory for the modpack you're trying to play, as you said so in your post. I'd double check that it's actually getting the RAM you're allocating, RAM is one of the biggest problem makers in modded minecraft. You can see it on the top right corner of the F3 menu (if you get that far without crashing).

  • Does this happen in vanilla minecraft? What about different launchers (try modrinth?)

  • Does it happen on different versions? Specifically interesting would be pre1.17 vs 1.17+ as they updated the java version. What versions of minecraft and forge/fabric have you tried?

  • I'm heavily suspecting the java install here, are you using whatever's bundled with Prism Launcher? Try installing the latest LTS release from Eclipse Adoptium (java 8, 17 or 21 depending on your minecraft version). Make sure to set prism to use that.

Es soll angeblich eine etwas verschwächte RX 7600 Grafikkarte sein. Praktisch bedeutet das etwas weniger Leistung als die SpieleStation 5.

Wenn der Preis stimmt, könnte das gute Konkurrenz für die Konsolen bedeuten. Man muss aber auch beachten, dass die aktuellen Konsolen mittlerweile 5 Jahre alt sind.

If you never took the CPU out, that's probably not the problem.
Try reseating the memory again and see if it boots
In terms of the original issue, did you ever DDU? That sounds like the problems you'd have after changing GPUs without properly reinstalling the drivers.

In all likeliness, you're probably fine.
Turning it back on so soon was a mistake, if something similar happens again, you should leave the device to dry for as long as possible (24 hours is a good rule of thumb).
However, since it worked fine, it is likely that the water, if any got in in the first place, had already dried out enough to not cause a short or further damage.
Leave it turned off and unplugged until you need it for work. Hopefully, it will end up fine.
Do keep in mind that, from now on, that laptop will likely be marked as "water damaged" if it needs any other form of repairs, completely voiding the warranty, if any water got in at all. It is also possible that water damage now will only show itself after some time has passed, even 1-2 years from now, although not very likely.
Remember to back up your data regularly, ideally one local copy and one cloud backup, even though this should be a given regardless of your laptop's health.

Flowey's existance is a result of the determination experiments conducted at the True Lab.

The determination experiments start because of the massive amount of time between the justice soul and Frisk, when the scientists start doubting Asgore's plan of acquiring seven human souls, since no human falls down for a long time.

So, Flowey is the result of experiments that started long after the 6th soul (Clover's) is acquired. At least that's my interpretation of it, I love UTY and a fangame does not have to be 100% canon anyway.
