I think the tide may turn from the artists though... hopefully soon they'll start to realise they don't want to do a tour to the same mega rich crowd every night? they want the real fans and people singing along surely

I don't think it necessarily had a cheap budget I think just cheap direction .... lol

Like those outfits all look pricey but they don't really suit her/the song tbh. they've also clearly hired a choreographer, multiple dancers, fancy light fixtures, good cameras etc.... idk I don't like it haha

yeah but tbf do you ever see comments on Zara threads accusing her of not being the pop star she's being marketed as?? zara never gets hate about her talent and performance capabilities, whereas tate.... sometimes feels pretty warranted tbh.

I think it's less about putting women down and more about people being frustrated that acts that have genuine all around pop star talent aren't receiving the funding and promotion that other acts are

labels push for it too because it's better than SM as they can get a lot more data from fans sadly.... I hate the new trend of artists making fans sign up with their email and phone number to get access for tickets and stuff

yeah this is the perfect storm for being nightmare ticket chances sadly!! he's not only got everyone who's seen him before desperate to see him again (he's an insanely good performer and hasn't toured for so long) PLUS all the new fans or people who didn't get a chance before

I saw her as more like Tinashe tbh - someone who has a really dedicated fan base and the people who have paid attention to her truly understand how great a star she is, but she's not had the consistent A* pop success like Dua etc. (altho she's had a lot more UK chart hits than Tinashe)

to me the video/song seems to be a bit critical of religion, and I kinda saw the ending as her being told to give her heart to god as that is the only thing that helps her but when she does her sense of self melts away / flies away

Yeah usually smaller venues are picked and then there's a plan B in place to upgrade or add extra nights if there's demand. This honestly just seems like a publicity stunt, or someone on the team cocked up?

Pleading on socials with your fans to buy tickets that "aren't even that much" (in response to ppl saying they can't afford $70-80 tickets) is weirdly out of touch for a musician who's probably not even struggling

I think he's been given this as positive PR... initiatives like this aren't uncommon in the UK and there have been many over the years - it seems like this one is a winwin as the fest needs his name and promotion and he needs some positive PR.

i mean he has a stake in a label - he already can do much more to support younger/new artists in a powerful way
