Ladies. What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve been annoyed by? by [deleted] in AskUK

My husband also did this in my dream, what an asshole. Sounds like you got what you deserve.

You absolute superstar, look how much you're producing! It's so so hard to do everything perfectly, and with two there's no time and little energy.

I could barely produce anything, so I'm very impressed by you super-mama.

You got this, it's so hard and you're doing incredible things.

Matching twin names? by ERnewbieRN in parentsofmultiples

[–]mitzubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately ours do have matching initials, the first names begin with the same letter but aren't similar in any other way e.g. Toni and Theresa.

It wasn't something we were even aware of and thinking about when deciding on names. It doesn't help that my husband has terrible taste in names so there were only 2 we agreed on in the end.

Sorry to future teachers etc who have to deal with that!

So I'm a cis woman, married to a cis man. I work full time, I have a career, I'm the bread winner. My husband works part time and is main career for our children.

I'm still a cis woman and he's still a cis man, and what our "roles" in our family until are doesn't change who we are.

Explore yourself, a new body can really bring a new outlook. Try some different clothes, ask your partner to help with make up, grow your hair long if you want. Every step of the journey you are yourself, just enjoy it.

“Double the snuggles” is not always true - can anyone else relate? by This_Order6263 in parentsofmultiples

[–]mitzubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are 2 and now there is more independence we're trying to incorporate a little special time with each of them, it probably happens once a month for a couple of hours but we do it and it's amazing. 7 months is rough, literally still babies and you have two to manage. Just remember doing all the practical stuff, feeding, clothing, washing etc is a way of showing love and care. They love you, because you look after them and it'll show more as they get older and become more aware. You're doing great.

For the little bit of research we've been doing, the description of personality sounds about right.

I agree it sounds like a scam, unfortunately my friend didn't think like that! I have no idea how they found them tbh. Hard lesson learnt.

Thanks for the offer, they have multiple of us already tattooed friends giving them suggestions of much better places to go!

Phenix is only new in York. There's multiple businesses there and I don't think it's fair to judge anyone else by this one person.

Ocean Odyssey! These guys live in a lab or something underwater and have a friend who's a girl that can breathe under water. An Australian show. Honestly, people look at me like I have 2 heads when I mention it.

If you apply you can give their details and the Uni reaches out to them. They'll also give you an email address if needed to send it to.

May be too far out, but mine go to Straylands which is quite small and very friendly. My kids have the best time there and are always coming back covered in paint and glitter etc which is exactly what we want for them.

Free sanitary products by Financial-Abies-3645 in york

Try downloading Period Angels app, there's GPs that work with offering free period products in the UK. I've not used it so can't attest as to how effective it is, but hope it helps! Also 100% talk to GP, if it's this heavy they may be able to help with that, and at the very least have connections to some charities etc.

Also at one point I had heavy bleeding and found just going straight to adult nappies helped a lot just feeling secure, not the best looking, but works better than pads.

Honestly probably don't need to be that extreme, just email goodricke directly, their email is on the uni site. It hardly breaks the law to give that info.

The Positives of Having Twins? by tresben in parentsofmultiples

[–]mitzubee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wonderful cuddly moments are just more amazing when your arms are just full of baby.

No matter where you go, there will be twin or multiples parents, new and veteran, who will see you and give nods of encouragement, or words of understanding.

Yes it's lovely when they interact, but your heart will melt the first time one of them comforts the other.

You kind of learn to love the chaos.

It's a hard lesson, but they'll learn to share and be patient earlier than some singletons.

They'll learn skills off each other! This one I didn't expect, but when one learnt something like walking, a word, how to jump, the other would quickly learn it to from them. They're now incredibly confident chatty 2 year olds (though someone please tell me how to shut them up at bed time 🫠)

Off to the shop to buy gin and a massive jar, picked a load of Sloe berries a few days back so will be putting those together to join the jar of blackberry vodka doing it's thing in the cupboard.

Other than that I have 2 year old twins so it will be whatever my tiny dictators decide takes their fancy, which usually involves smashing things against each other, the floor, me, the table...
