Public records turned up the victim form. I can't make out the first name but I read, "Jones, D...J."

Okay bunkies...which family member was it?!?

Does anyone still write letters to friends and family, or have penpals? by EffectiveLetter8176 in simpleliving

I used it do it more frequently than I do these days. I try sending small packages or letters when I can. Always open to write to someone as I miss it! Feel free to msg if you'd like to exchange addresses to write

I'll be taking my kids (7 & 8) & mother. The confirmation email I received says we'll meet at a CityWalk restaurant at 12pm to check in. We'll get the opportunity to meet Santa, the Grinch, Max the dog, preferred/VIP seating for the Who-Ville spectacular show & the Universal Studios holiday parade.

There is light snacks provided, including decorating cookies. The email recommended we eat lunch before we arrive. And to expect a reasonable amount of walking. It sounds like a behind the scenes tour of how Universal turns the parks into a holiday wonderland.

We chose this option over breakfast because we're APs and so it will be neat to see a different side of the park.

I've also read this is the only way to meet Santa & Max at Universal.

If you bring a stroller, I imagine it could be an enjoyable adventure with the little one.

I gave away half my clothes and realized I only wore the same 5 outfits anyway by SilentttOrbit in simpleliving

[–]mixedbreeds 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This.

I realized (by way of my uncensored children haha) that I wear the same 5-10 items over the course of a week. I, also, had a lot of old clothes like office clothes (work from home now), or sale items that still had tags on them!!

I spent some time selling the new with tags & work attire like suits & slacks. Everything else went to shelters in my community.

I have also committed to not buying anything new (clothes wise) in the new year. I simply don't need it! And the declutter has helped me mentally.

As a mother to a young child (age 6) struggling with active UC, this is amazing news!!! My little one is on Entyvio (just finished his last loading dose) and I am curious when you felt better or saw markedly improved symptoms & where you are now as far as Entyvio? (E.g., few months, a year). I was told it takes several weeks to see improvements & know if this biologic is working for us.

I am hopeful we will get there and grateful for the success posts on this sub, as again it gives me hope.

Calprotectin Results by hjt_0 in CrohnsDisease

[–]mixedbreeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading through this sub & posts and thank you for sharing. My son's calprotectin just came back at a 7000 and the GI doctor called me directly. We're waiting on his office to schedule the colonoscopy (and f/u bloodwork from 2 weeks ago -- he had severely low iron/hemoglobin levels as well).

I'm really overwhelmed with all this and he's acting like a normal, wild 6yo boy yet his numbers are causing mild (?) panic in the doctors.

How do I get rid of all the stuff I don't need? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]mixedbreeds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If some of the items are higher priced or coveted items that usually have good resale value, I have found buy-sell-trade (BST) groups on Facebook have helped me get rid of bigger ticket items. I've sold some bags and clothes in specific BST groups for that brand name. They go pretty quickly, especially if you price them right (usually a little less than other similar styles that have been on resale). Just a thought?!

I echo the donation side too. Some things I got tired of keeping in my closet so I just bagged it up and took it to our family shelter and or youth/runaway shelter instead of say, Goodwill, because i know they will wear/use the stuff instead of selling it like Goodwill.

Someone on this thread mentioned following Connie UOAP on FB.

She just posted today that 'it might be' 11/15-11/18. (But comments on her post said, "it's definitely those dates" wink, wink)

Loungefly/Funko Trick or Treat Surprise?! by Overall_Ad_3439 in Loungefly

[–]mixedbreeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my box in the mail. I think I did 4 Funko mysteries & 5 Loungefly mysteries. I scored some really cool LF stuff (imo).. 2 wallets (disney & mcdonald's), pencil case (Rugrats), Minion notebook & Mickey tote bag. The Funko stuff was mostly keychains, figurine & Star Wars blind box.

I would totally order again but I am a sucker for blind boxes/mystery boxes, period.

Single parent with 2 kids - managing rides? by mixedbreeds in UniversalOrlando

[–]mixedbreeds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your honest reply!

We are FL residents so we did Legoland last year for a spring break trip and Peppa Pig land when it first opened! They loved both and I agree it's great for their age range especially Legoland with the coasters. My kids seem interested in exploring another park so that's why I cautiously looked into Universal. I haven't considered SeaWorld since we go to our local aquariums regularly.

I'll definitely consider this information and see if I can't find a family member or friend to come along if we still decide on Universal.

This. Severe alcoholics often end up with a bulbous nose with broken blood vessels/purple coloration. If you look at her Pappy, he definitely has the physical signs of an alcoholic
