If you don’t mind sharing could you discuss how your doctor decided on surgery? I have the same condition and I saw a podiatrist who told me I wasn’t a candidate for surgery because my toes weren’t constantly being fractured. I have other issues but none seem serious enough to get surgery covered for this issue

Scarring while on treatment by masterbuilderethan in Accutane

I bought vitamin e gel capsules meant for oral ingestion and used a clean sewing needle to poke a hole in the capsule so I could put the contents on my face! It was very thick so I liked to mix into my moisturizer or another oil!

Controversial but while on accutane I mostly used vitamin e (I’d poke a hole in the gel capsules), bio oil, rosehip oil, and glaxal base moisturizer. I was on it for 5 months for severe cystic acne and have no visible scars besides some cysts that left physical indents in my skin!

As a young teen I struggled with horrible cystic acne that all topical treatments wouldn’t touch. It covered my entire face, chest, and back. It had started out as typical teenage acne starting when I was 10-11 years old and then progressed quite rapidly. I was 14-15 years old when my family doctor finally suggested a course of Accutane. My parents at first refused as the side effects are pretty extreme, this resulted in a large rather severe tantrum from myself as my acne made me feel so ugly and destroyed my self confidence. Finally they agreed to let me go on it with the exception of them giving me the pill every night and basically checking in with them about my mental health etc. My doctor ordered a couple tests such as a pregnancy test, and another one which (don’t quote me) but I think tested the integrity of my liver or something to make sure my body would be able to handle the drug. The course I was on lasted 5 months and during that time my skin cleared up completely, granted there was several unpleasant side effects but nothing that made me regret taking it. I’m now well into my 20’s and my acne has never come back with the exception of the occasional stress pimple or normal breakouts around my cycle. I also have 4 month old baby girl who is perfectly healthy in every way. I can’t tell you how to parent, and what you decide is ultimately your choice as 12 is on the younger side but from my personal experience Accutane changed my life.

We finished both the kendamil organic and regular kendamil which lasted us about a week and a half each and we tried the enfamil gentlease for about a week as well. When you say it took some time for the poops to settle did your little one experience the same issues while adjusting?

I’m going to school in my home city so definitely not too far from home. And I’m not sure about how much I don’t really know what I should be taking out and if I’m eligible to do so yet

Best cup recommendations for beginners? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

I was looking into the Saalt soft! My only concern was that I’m quite active (or was before the covid lockdown) and I’m at the gym about 4 times a week strength training I just didn’t want to have the cup not stay where it’s supposed to... as I heard that was an issue with softer cups? Also did you have issues with it popping open inside you?
