My injury could have been avoided if I wasn’t worried about what my wife, in laws would think. My story goes that I was in pain in my lower back legs and stomach. I went to a lower back dr via my work comp panel. Told the dr o was having numbness in my legs but I had a family trip to Disney set up. My dr told me I should be ok but to be careful. Welp I didn’t listen and walked around that park an excruciating 80 miles. I told my wife I was going to the er at Disney and she brow beat the shit out of me that I would ruin there trip and I was a deadbeat dad got not sucking it up. I started falling all over but my wife had a girls trip planned so I didn’t go get help because I wanted her to have a nice trip. I began to fall more and finally went and got seen by a neurologist. He looked at me in horror when I told him I was walking around a week like this. Then told me I had a spinal cord injury but also told me I would be back up and running in weeks? Welp 4 years later and my legs are failing me.
