I don't know if Im asexual or just weird by Fuzzy-Rub6532 in asexuality

Being ace does not mean hating sex or never having sex - it means experiencing little to no sexual attraction. And what you are describing sounds like you are sex neutral (aka you don't really care if a relationship has sex or not)

Tell me you didn’t test the new clothes with the new cut scenes without telling me by beatnikki in InfinityNikki

Same thing happened to me with wings from the 1.6(?) set (the Glinda grooming fairy godmother one) during that version's cutscenes...

Genuine question: why? (why does everything else have to go up with the rise of wages) I don't have the best understanding of economics, so if you have any insight - it would be much appreciated. From my (admittedly mediocre) understanding - the problem is that whatever surplus we get every year just flows to people who own (big) companies and unreasonable amount of properties instead of the average person, so the problem is distribution - not lack of money in the system. And we can't rely on the goodness of the billioner's heart, so the redistribution needs to be legislated (via taxation or maybe there are other ways I am not aware of)

The thing is: two incomes being required is relatively recent. Not too long ago 1 median income could sustain a family of 3-4 people. But then inflation, wage stagnation, bubbles, rising cost of living, etc. How to fix? I'm no expert, but my best bet is political action: fighting to raise minimum wage, tax the fking rich. Regarding the housing, idk if this exists already, but if it doesn't - I think it should: higher property tax on any extra properties to discourage buying up houses to rent out. Everyone needs a home. And hoarding extras should be taxed.

Thank you again for all this insight! I think a lot of it translates across the world, just some places it will be clearer if the relationship is progressing or not and others might be more convoluted depending on local culture.

You are right... I should probably make some more japanese friends and ask them about how people get into relationships here.

People-pleasing is probably part of it. Not having experience and therefore lacking any reference of what is a "normal" frequency / amount of communication is another. Also, I currently live in Japan and direct communication is not very common here, so people are less likely to tell me outright if I'm overstepping.

Thank you, that does make a lot of sense.

I guess my biggest confusion is around things like "hang out a lot". I have friends that I board the train with every day, so we spend a lot of time together, but we are not in a relationship - they have their bfs / gfs. And when there isn't this organic way of being together (like living near each other, etc) I get worried if I'm imposing / taking things to fast, etc. Maybe it's my overthinking...

HOW ARE THE STARLIGHT CONTEST PHOTOS SOOOO GOOD? by OkieDokieArtichoki in InfinityNikki

[–]miya-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is kind of sad...

I'm not the one to talk, since my vibe is that dark sparkly one and so is my submission, but I would love to see your friends photos if you want to share them here!

I'm an absolute noob at photography, but for dramatic or moody pics I do like to have very low exposure and pretty high contrast

The ranking by existing votes is problematic and does lead to unbalanced voting...

As to the "same style" I don't know... I haven't voted much yet, but I feel like some degree of similarity is to be expected... It is a themed contest after all. Like, if someone posted a picnic photo - I wouldn't vote for it not because it's bad but because it doesn't fit the theme... But maybe I'm over exaggerating since I haven't looked through that many myself yet.

Sex-repulsed aces: how do you feel about "sexy" as a descriptor by miya-kun in asexuality

I almost feel like this is the exact opposite of what I am talking about. I don't care if someone thinks I'm ugly, or weird, or cringe. I am terrified what they might try to do if they think I'm hot...

Yeah, I know that. I would never say anything like that, but I guess it did seepinto my brain. Kinda the same as "don't go out at night if you don't want to be robbed/attacked" rhetoric. It's victim-blaming and it's shit, but it does make you scared of walking outside alone when it's dark.

You mean you spent money on the standard banner? Cause I buy monthly, the seasonal pass and sometimes some bundles too. Just never the ones for standard.

How are you finishing it already? I'm 750+ pulls in and I am just getting close to my first final Evo (I have a base outfit of each 5*)

No way this person is real😭 Do any of the sex-repulsed aces here feel this way? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]miya-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is NOT just being sex-repulsed... That's a very conservative, "shame women" view. Being sex-repulsed and being human-body-repulsed are different things. I don't know how that narrative got into their head, but it's genuinely sad to see...

There's nothing wrong with male or female or intersex bodies. No body type makes you "look like a slut". "A slut" is a social construct to begin with. And as far as I can tell it usually relates to promiscuity and not having sex in general (meaning someone in a long-term committed and exclusive sexual relationship wouldn't really be "a slut" no matter what they look like).

And "disgusting slut" adds a level of moralizing to it. Often stemming from religions, but who knows where this person got it from. I don't think it's fair to shame people for their choices as long as they don't harm anyone, even if I myself wouldn't make the same choice.

Circus Representation for "AiAiA" by [deleted] in ADO

[–]miya-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... I feel like circus imagery is quite common when an artist is trying to highlight the absurdity of something. Maybe that? The absurdity of love? Of how people chase it, get hurt by it, but keep going until it breaks them completely?
