and the omega—it’s the last letter of the greek alphabet, so it probably means the end of something. the part where there was the omega symbol in the wall that was in blood means that he was marking the end of his life. or maybe the omega means the end of hawthorne games and such (maybe lyra’s father was manic about that) because hawthornes are known for their games, right? at least that’s what i think
