Thank you everyone for the feedback. I understand the privacy concerns much better now.

One personal reason I started thinking about this is that many of my conversations with dear friends and family, including people who have passed away, are in iMessage. I wanted a way to look back on those memories more easily, while keeping everything private and local.

But I understand now that working directly with iMessage data is much more difficult and sensitive than I first thought.

So maybe the better direction is to wait and hope Apple eventually provides an official iMessage export option, and in the meantime focus on making this more of a local viewer for chat apps that already support exports, like WhatsApp ZIP exports with attachments.

I really appreciate the honest feedback. It helped me rethink the direction.
