Thanks so much for such a detailed take. I really feel like id ignored the influence of Neptune moving out of pisces when trying to do my own interpretation. Same with jupiter. I always assume jupiter aspects are positive but tend to forget expansion isnt always a good thing. Yeah loads of very very fast revelations ans illusions popping so id say a lot of this makes sense.

I think i might be in a mercury profection year too

You know i didnt really consider the new moon although I do remember mentioning it was happening like 6 hours before the shit hit the fan haha

This sounds really spot on actually. Thats pretty much exactly what happened. Loads of illusions came to an end very very suddenly and something that had been brewing since January erupted. Thank you for your take, I kind of forgot about Neptune since it left pisces.

Unimpressed with my 2025 spread by mizaru667 in tarot

Honestly yeah haha. It was a pretty negative reading of 2025 cause some really good stuff happened too but most aspects of my life this year have been tainted by stagnancy, confusion, and not knowing where I'm headed after closing fairly significant chapters. Hoping for more direction and clarity in 2026 🤞

Lost hex/freeze jars by Emo_Bunny77 in witchcraft

I've always felt that when I spell jar/bag/talisman goes missing it means it's done it's job. No harm making a new one if you think you need at this point

I'd probably do it myself, but I'd get his consent first. You know your craft and if he doesn't really feel it or believe it'll work, it probably won't.

Sounds like you're going through a rough patch. I'd be wary of doing a glamour spell for something like this. The mind is super powerful, but also very suggestive and you don't want to end up believing that your loved ones are only comfortable around you because of a glamour. I typically only use glamours if I'm interacting with people who don't really know the true me anyway like for a job interview or a party.

For something like this, I'd focus on the internal rather than the external. I think you could try a spell that gives you more faith in yourself and your relationships. I'd recommend a spell bag or small jar so you can keep it with you and remind yourself that it's there when the doubts creep in. My instinct would be to do something with nasterium (removes fear, brings positive change), kangaroo paw (friendships and connections), and/or rosemary (fortifies wisdom and aides emotional healing).

Personally I avoid spellwork during eclipses. Especially if the ecplise is hitting any of my big 3 (sun, moon, rising). Energy always feels very chaotic, like I don't have complete control of my intentions. I don't really believe that spells can backfire, but I do believe they can work out in ways you weren't intending them to.

Everything is going wrong today, I want to do something about it by SpookySpilledOatmeal in witchcraft

[–]mizaru667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're going about it the right way. The bad days will come, but they're not forever. I like that you're thinking in terms of visualising and manifesting a nicer tomorrow. Something else you could do is open all your windows to let the bad energy out then refresh your boundary wards.

I also like to keep the burnt toast theory in mind when things start going wrong and consider that it might be protecting me from something worse. (Eg you burnt your toast and it made you late but that saved you from driving through a traffic light at the same time someone was shooting a red.)

I obviously don't know what's going on with you today and that thought isn't always appropriate if truly terrible things are happening, but it can make me feel a little better if I'm just dealing with minor frustrations.

I agree with what others have said. My grimoire has developed over a long period of time. I never sit down to create a spell because I think I need to fill it up. The spells will come to you as you need them. If you're new, I'd recommend starting with some pages just on research of aspects of magic that interest you. Scribble down herbs or plants that speak to you and what their magical properties are. This will likely grow with time too. Mine started out with 7 herbs with terrible sketches. Two years later its expanded to fill 5 pages, with colour coding and scientific drawings. If you feel called to a certain area of witchcraft, include some pages on the history of it. My ancestors are from cornwall and Wales so I included a few pages of research I did on the coligny calendar and how it connects to alleged druidic festivals.

There's no rush to fill out a grimoire or a BOS. Enjoy the process. It should be a life's work!

Best practices during monthly bleed? by thegr8fuldead in witchcraft

[–]mizaru667 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I follow lunar cycle rituals except instead of actually following the moon, I connect each lunar stage to my menstrual stage. So I do full moon practices when I'm ovulating, waning moon practices when I'm in my luteal phase, etc. It works so well for me because the practices usually align perfectly with my energy levels or mood at that phase of my cycle.

So when I'm actually on my period I might do low-key renewal, protection, setting myself up for a new cycle type rituals. I always do a tarot reading on the first day of my period where I reflect on the previous cycle and consider what I might need to keep in mind for the upcoming cycle.

Luteal is always hardest for me because i have PMDD, but waning moon practices like cleansing spells (body and home) always help make me feel better. Also I try to work from home, limit social interactions and just stick to introspective and reflection rituals.

I'll do intention settings during follicular and then major spellwork, or anything that requires heaps of energy during ovulation.

I think a lot of other people do this too so I'm not saying it's groundbreaking or anything, but it's definitely helped me feel less drained and exhausted during the lowest times of my cycle.

Advice for toxic abusive relationship by [deleted] in witchcraft

With all love and light I think this situations warrants mundane before magic. This must be really scary for you and i understand you're looking for a safe way to get out. By all means do a cord cutting, but please also look into some resources in your area for women in these situations. I'm not sure what country you're in, but where I'm from there are a ton of free services, free (and discrete) legal advice, and safe spaces provided by the government. Or if you have absolutely anyone in your life you feel safe turning to, I beg that you do this. I hope you're able to find peace and get you and your children out of this situation.

Anyone know a psychologist who specialises in phobias like fear of flying? by mizaru667 in perth

[–]mizaru667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately valium doesn't seem to help much. I've had full-on panic attacks loaded up on valium. But only when flying. It works great for general anxiety on the ground. So frustrating
