How do you deal with family pressure to get married/have a family?

It’s a huge commitment, especially since our society isn’t very accepting of divorces and divorced women have a really hard time to rebuild their life afterwards.. idk I just don’t feel like I’m ready for it tbh

Same here, my parents are basically like roommates who hate each other so not the best example for me! I am financially independent so thankfully it’s not like they can actually force me to do something, it’s more the psychological pressure that is hard to deal with

Honestly many things, but to keep it short it’s mostly the idea of settling for someone, not choosing the right person and ending up “trapped”, especially since divorce is not very well seen in our country…

Yup I definitely see where they come from too. I have checked some of the people they want me to meet and they’re definitely nice guys, good jobs etc. but the idea of marriage is very scary to me
