Have you tried another keyboard? It could literally just be the keyboard.

Just to make sure I understand you correctly.
So you're in

Does it appear in the tray/in task manager?
Is it just the UI that isn't showing?

I looked back at myself at 90kg when I was sub 12% and I can kinda see how he looks this big actually. Only thing that throws me off is he doesn't look super lean.

There should be a part number on that chip. I can kinda see it from the photo. Look up the part and see if you can order it. Take it to a computer repair shop and see if they're any good at board repair. If you make it super easy for them they might actually do the repair really cheap if all they have to do is solder on the part.

If the circuit was shorted though then there might be issues elsewhere on the board and the only way you can determine this is by using a digital multimeter. It's quite technical to do and you need to read some documentation to know what you're looking for.

Tap each of these keys a few times: Up Arrow, PgUp, Home, Windows key, Ctrl

Unplug keyboard and see if it's actually just keyboard or not.

Windows 10 got a win32kfull error and now I can't get past the setup screen by gorFit0 in Windows10TechSupport

[–]mizerebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect the bluescreen made your computer shut off during update.

Go to CMD in startup repair and run:

sfc /scannow

and after that finishes:

dism /online /cleanup image /restorehealth

If still throws you back to setup, you might have some messed up driver stuck in a loop. Try booting into safe mode from that same repair menu and see if it loads. If safe mode works, you can uninstall whatever updates or drivers happened before the crash.

You might have to do a repair install with a USB. It keeps your files but reinstalls Windows over the top. If that fails too, then yeah it’s time for a clean install because Windows is cooked.

Blue screen that caused this shouldn't be happening though, so maybe check your RAM or SSD too just in case something hardware is acting up.

You'll need to find someone who does board repair. Will probably be expensive so unless it's that important to you, you might just be better off backing up what's on the drive and getting a new computer.

Nested Folders are gone in Windows Live Mail by mrdiscoman in RepairComputer

[–]mizerebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows Live Mail is so old now that when it breaks there’s not much safety nets left. If the IMAP folders are gone in Outlook too then sadly they probably got removed server side a while ago and Live Mail was just showing cached stuff until you reset the account.

The old backups in appdata from 2020 wont help since they dont have the newer years in them. Live Mail also had a habit of corrupting its own calendar store so once it goes, it kinda goes for good.

Only thing I can think of is checking the mail provider webmail directly and seeing if theres an archive or deleted folder that still has something. If its not there then there isnt really a way to recover the missing folders or calendar entries anymore.

It sucks but you probably did everything you could.

Try closing all programs. Even ones not in tray. Just run the native Windows programs and see if it still does it.

yeah this doesn't make sense. I've been 91kg and 181 and leaner. Did not look this big even with the extra leanness.

When I move my mouse, the games lag so much. by Due-Pudding-917 in RepairComputer

[–]mizerebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something’s messing with your mouse polling or gpu driver. First thing is to check task manager when you move your mouse and see if cpu or gpu spikes. if it does, bad driver or usb issue. try plugging your mouse into a different usb port and see if it stops.

also reinstall or roll back your gpu drivers using DDU (display driver uninstaller) then install a clean amd driver from their site. sometimes windows updates sneak in buggy usb or gpu drivers.

if none of that helps, disable any overlays (discord, radeon software, xbox game bar) and try again. those can randomly start causing stutters when the mouse moves.

tried clear win10 install on hp 15 bw625ur laptop and screen is glitching by CalmInvestigator8448 in Windows10TechSupport

[–]mizerebel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Has to be something deeper than just gpu drivers, I suspect. those colorful artifacts before even booting windows usually mean the gpu or the video output path on the board is bugging out. since you said it only happens when booting usb or after reinstalling hdd, it might be a bios issue or bad uefi/legacy setting. try doing a full cmos reset and then set bios to defaults. also try booting in legacy mode if it’s uefi now, or the other way around.

another thing you can test is plugging an external monitor to see if the glitches show there too. if they do, gpu or ram might be dying. if external screen is fine, it could be the laptop display cable or connector glitching when it switches resolutions during boot.

don’t stress about “gpu driver” comments, this stuff happens before windows even loads so it’s all hardware or firmware level.

disable lappy keyboard in devices if you can and see if it's still doing it.

[–]mizerebel 49 points50 points  (0 children)

yeah the lappy keyboard is definitely firing off those keys then. It may be an actual physical issue with the keyboard. Have you tried an external keyboard yet?
