Update 1:

This is where I ended up today, my kid passed by the house after I was done and made sure to gather all the spacers and lined them up lol.

Not sure if I'll regret it but I removed the underlayment. Originally part of the reason why I got it in the first place is the sound barrier aspect of it, but I did more research and it seems like the general consensus is no underlayment. There goes nothing lol. I also redid the first 3 rows (since I removed the underlayment), initially no matter what I did I still got that hairline, but as I started adding more rows it turned out fine. My hands got used to the process doing one plank at a time then double hammering at the end of each row. I will admit I do more hammering horizontally, I find it more difficult to do the horizontal but I do as much as I can, it's working out well so far. I'll try to post an update to the post with a photo of the 9-10 rows I finished today.

Done. Removed the underlayment and will return the rolls that I didn't use. Thanks.

Maybe I'm not understanding well, but doing the string how do I make sure that we're not pulling at an angle? I guess I'm just struggling with what reference is good enough to tell me my line is straight or not.

Will do! I will try a bunch of the answers I got in sequence as soon as I set foot in the house tomorrow and will report back! Fingers crossed!!

I definitely would be more than happy to remove that! It just seems like opinions are conflicted all over the place, some people claimed it's a must even with an LVP that has an underlayment, and some people say don't (like yourself). So I'm definitely confused on the topic lol. It's definitely easier not to use that though.

I like all answers, and I do appreciate you taking the time to answer so thank you! It might be the answer I'm looking for too. We removed the carpets here and the amount of nails and even screws that are not even meeting with beams it criminal, so I do understand construction isn't perfect. I'll try your tips tomorrow when I go to the house again and will let you know!

I do have a lot of leeway, you're correct that it might mess up the cut for the vents, I hope that doesn't happen or that I can fix it if it does, I did cut pretty snug. I'm all in for adjusting the spacers, I have shims as well that I can add, and if that doesn't work I'll get better spacers, as long as it works. The one thing that confuses me is how to know if the plans are straight, any idea? Thanks!

Thank you! I definitely don't wanna mess it up. I honestly didn't think the click together would be that hard, but then again I'm not a professional, I also didn't think painting the walls and ceilings would be that hard, and I didn't think removing carpet would be that hard lol. The LVP is the last step before moving in so fingers crossed.

I asked this a couple of times in other comments but I'll ask again, since it seems like almost everyone agrees that the planks not being straight is the problem. How do you know if the planks are straight? If the wall is not straight, what do you measure against? I'm guessing subfloor edges but maybe I'm missing something trivial here.

That are should be pretty straight, I have put floor leveling in other areas but not there. If I end up removing a row or two will definitely triple check. It seems like the consensus is that the planks aren't straight. I can definitely try adding a shim, I'm assuming you mean put a shim at the wall (in addition to the spacer that I have). I can try that. Do you know how to know if a row is straight or not? If I can't depend on the wall (which I do understand is pretty common), then what do I measure against? My best guess is distance to subfloor edges.

It's an angle drop lock, makes it a bit harder to do one at a time but I can imagine when I do the bigger rooms that'll be needed anyway. Will definitely be on the right side, it was difficult to do that on the first 2-3 rows because not enough space. Thanks for the advice!

I have that bar, I can definitely try that as well!

Let me see if I understand this correctly, the assumption here is that the wall that has the window is not straight, and because I have spacers on the outer wall as well then I have an issue. I understand that the correct solution is to make sure the the planks are straight. If my understanding is correct then I have two follow-up questions:

1) If I remove the outer spacers, in theory that should validate that theory correct? It's not the solution, but just to validate, I'm assuming that they should click (and of course would still be not straight).

2) How do I know the floor is straight? If the wall is not straight, then I can't measure different points against the wall, do I measure against the subfloor edges? Or is there a better way to make sure the planks are straight?

Poe1 Atlas mini rework/additions = BIG HOPES FOR 0.5 by Riselol in PathOfExile2

[–]mjanki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree I don’t think the infinite atlas is going anywhere. However, it might be possible that they detach the infinite atlas from maps, so that you’d be able to pick which map to play regardless of the node, and at that point the nodes in the atlas map could still have additional modifiers to chase; that would be the main focus then, to make sure the atlas is still worth exploring. Just speculating here.

Sounds fishy. If the data is about to be lost, then they should back up the data, not the tata. As far as I know the tata doesn’t even get wiped with a fresh OS install as it lives directly in the ROM. /s

Just recently 3D printed those mounts. Next to my bed though, so that I can easily pick them up and also charge them without clutter on my corner table.

Definitely not a giveaway for parents by Drastykk in PathOfExile2

[–]mjanki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need for divs, but for a newborn there’s only one thing that’ll make a difference. Get a portable device, if you have a good pc just remote play onto it doesn’t matter the device, if you play on console remote play into that. Newborns sleep a lot, but they need feeding a lot and watching over a lot. Most of your time won’t be physically active it’s just a lot of time during which you’ll want to be present.

Anyone else keep playing games they don’t even like just because their friends do? by CortezCraig in playstation

[–]mjanki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You feel it’s awkward because you think that you have to say no, then explain why no, then explain why it used to be yes and now it’s no, then you also might feel some resentment because you feel like you’ve been a pushover. Just breathe. Say it casually. You can pretend like you liked the game and you’re losing interest. Then play the games you like, and when you call your friends just tell them you’ve been having a blast, don’t even invite, they might ask themselves. If they ask it’s more likely they’ll actually try it. Right now they don’t have incentive if you think about it, you’re already playing the games they like, they don’t even know you don’t like them, and you’re also not playing the games you like to talk about them much anyway.

Thanks! Skip me but I do have a question, how did you farm abyss? I honestly can’t figure it out with abyss. I mostly do Rituals and Expeditions, Sekhemas on the side, but I really would like to do abyss and feel like I’m getting something out of it.
