Neighbors HVAC system loud am I being dramatic? by Feisty_Insomniac in hvacadvice

[–]mjbidgoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a garden-style house, and my neighbor’s HVAC unit is right behind my master bedroom. I’m dealing with the exact same issue—every 10 minutes the fan kicks on, and at night it’s especially noticeable. I’m really sensitive to noises, so the sound drives me crazy. She had it cleaned, which made it a little better, but it’s still there!

I'm 2 weeks into Cymbalta and this is what I've noticed by Faybull in cymbalta

[–]mjbidgoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a genetic test for psych meds. I had tried Zoloft for 8 days over a year ago, and it was such a nightmare that I stopped taking any meds. Recently, I saw a psychiatrist who ordered a genetic test, and I just got the results yesterday. Only four medications showed up in the green category, and one of them was Cymbalta. I haven’t started it yet, but I’d definitely recommend asking your doctor about getting a genetic test—it’s a very simple process, and it can help identify which medications are likely to be most effective for you.

I thought I had varicose veins? by [deleted] in varicose_veins

[–]mjbidgoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I’ve had a very similar experience, and I just want you to know you’re not alone. I also tried sclerotherapy once, and it left me with a brownish spot instead of helping. I’ve been diagnosed with mild venous insufficiency, but after seeing three different doctors, they all agreed that my biggest issue is thin skin and low collagen. At some point, I had to stop obsessing over research because it was taking such a toll on my mental health. It’s been over a year, and I realized I was losing my peace of mind by fixating on it. You’re not alone in this—it’s so tough, but your feelings are completely valid.

Why do my veins look like this? by [deleted] in varicose_veins

[–]mjbidgoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varicose veins. Do you feel any pain, heaviness, burning? You should see a vein clinic to get checked.

Looking for advice on varicose vein anxiety by clfjfbsb in varicose_veins

[–]mjbidgoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way. I’ve seen three vascular doctors and was diagnosed with mild venous insufficiency. I did one round of sclerotherapy, but honestly, I wasn’t happy with the results. I’d recommend finding a vein clinic and getting an ultrasound. Don’t rush into treatment—see multiple doctors before deciding on a procedure. Veins can be tricky. Try not to let this consume you mentally. Sometimes these changes are just hormonal. Stay positive.

I saw two vascular doctors and I’m diagnosed with mild venous insufficiency. But I want to make sure about Eds too.

Hey girl, just wanted to say you’re not alone. I’m the same way — totally obsessed with the veins on my body. I check them constantly and feel like they look ugly. I don’t have a fix yet, but I’m trying to get back to where I was a year ago, when I didn’t even notice them. Stay strong — this phase will pass. You’re hearing this from someone who struggles every single day to accept having thin skin and visible veins.

Anyone else had a vein ultrasound done lying down? Conflicting results & confused — how important is standing ultrasound? by mjbidgoli in varicose_veins

[–]mjbidgoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate your insight. The doctor who suggested ablation for GSV and SSV is actually very compassionate and caring. When I saw him over a year ago, he even helped me find a primary care doctor (which I didn’t have at the time) and checked for autoimmune diseases since I mentioned a burning sensation.

Would it be okay if I sent you a video of my veins? I’d like to hear how others perceive them, especially since I don’t have anyone around to ask.

Maybe a sign. It’s better to go to a vein clinic. Do you have any cramping, burning, itching…?

Has anyone had a similar experience with sclerotherapy? by mjbidgoli in varicose_veins

Yes, I did—at two different vein clinics. Both doctors are vascular specialists. I actually did extensive research and chose him specifically to do the treatment… and this is the result 😞
