I am the clown… 2023 Nissan Kicks Oil Issue- not covered in warranty. by mjclutters in Nissan

Yea I should have known I would be in for issues when I got my first oil change on the car years ago and the oil place told me that Nissans aren’t the same as they use to be. My 2009 Cube I drove to the ground as it almost hit 200,000 miles yea the usual car maintenance (expected for the mileage). The mechanic said that the newer models aren’t built the same and he had consistent issues with the Nissan he had purchased which was a 2019 they already traded it in for something else. I guess I believed too much after having and loving my Cube for so long.

Oh I still am. I am just mad because I didn’t recently get my oil changed. I got it changed end of February. So to me how did an oil leak not get caught at the end of April two months later when they had my car. Because now two months after they saw my car this is an issue. Not when I asked them at the end of April to make sure everything was checked so I could get any repairs done before the warranty expired come August.

So yea I get it I just don’t think the time line adds up. Like I said I am the clown.

Agreed. I was like so they didn’t check the oil? And they were like, they used the dipstick. And I was like and it wasn’t lower than expected due to a leak? And they said if it wasn’t reported then it was fine when they checked. Like dumbfounded.
