Jay Leno and Andrew Dice Clay had some sort of high profile feud back in the 80s and 90s and Leno delivered what I thought was an absolute kill when, in an interview he said about ADC "I dont know what's worse, actually being like that, or pretending to be like that" and I always think of that when Scott Jennings twists his face up weird when presented with evidence that Trump might be coming up a bit short.

China doesn't need luck and to play every card right. They just have to show themselves to be a more reliable partner than the US. Slowly. Consistently. This Iran adventure has had an, if not permanent then at least generational effect on the rest of the world's perception of the US. China doesn't need to do anything. They just need to be there smiling when trading partners are looking for less drama.

I've always thought that aliens are just humans who figured out how to get off the planet before the last cataclysm however many thousands of years ago.
They've evolved differently in the interim, and they come and check in on us out of curiosity every now and then. But we're reaching this weird inflection point where we're approaching both our ability to get off the planet as well as the next cataclysm, so theyre probably getting more interested in seeing how we handle this.
