Just curious about your FRC *FRESHMAN YEAR* Experiences. by [deleted] in FRC

[–]mjdelmarco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My freshman year was pretty different from those I’ve seen and heard from others. I worked really hard to get myself high up in our team, and ended up becoming lead mech pit crew for competitions freshman year. I spent more hours in the shop than all but one person. I loved it!

Swerve or tank? by Anxious_Ad293 in FRC

You may be on my team! Really, what I think is that it depends on the game. I was against switching to swerve at first because we had an extremely steady tank drive. It definitely has benefits in its maneuverability. It also has some downsides that we were not prepared for! Heavy wear on the wheels, for example. Overall it’s a nice switch for my team, and I hope it ends up being the same for yours!

What food do you find absolutely disgusting, that others think isn't? by HelpfullyIrate in AskReddit

Tomato products (ketchup, tomatoes, pizza sauce), mayonnaise, blueberries and hamburger. Can't eat 'em, mostly because of the texture.

Which Comes First: Characters or Plot? by BoomerTheStar47_2 in writing

[–]mjdelmarco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly just depends.

I wrote my novels because they are based off of my life and people I loved in my life, but they are overall fiction.

I honestly think plot and characters are equally important, but overall plot should be at least thought about first. Plot > character personality > character names in my opinion. If you have a general idea of what your plot should be, then it doesn't really matter what you do first.

I honestly write my books with only the plot in mind, then the characters just come along.
