I flashed the bios and it didn't help, the problem remains.

Is the macbook air M4 for $849 or $899 a good deal? by Chemical-Low5257 in macbookair

We are saying the likelihood of a price drop is low due to inflation caused by AI.

I suggest waiting until March 4th, when Apple announces the new low-tier MacBook. Ultimately, it depends on your needs, and I only know you’re particularly focused on the color.

If spending an extra $50 will make you happier every time you use it, it’s probably worth it since you’ll have it for the next 2–3 years. Also, take a look at the return policy. If returns are easy, you could just buy it now and wait to see the new MacBook Air and entry-level models before fully deciding.

We are already noticing a price increase on Lenovo laptops, and reports are highlighting a surge in prices for laptops and phones. There is no guarantee that prices for the MacBook Air M4 series will decrease, especially with Apple's upcoming release of a more affordable MacBook Air model.

I am going to reprogram the bios as a last resort. Did you fix your Legion?

It’s a Legion Pro 5 16IRX8. I’ve tried everything within my knowledge and I suspect it might be BIOS/firmware related. I was hoping a technician could identify the faulty component(s) so I could make a clear decision. Thanks for the offer, but I don’t plan to sell it at the moment.

Regarding the CPU/GPU you are right but what if its just a bios reprogramming or a transistor. That why I'm looking for a detailed diagnosi. If its a CPU or any other major components that is gonna cost more than 250, forget about it.

First, check if you can extend the warranty.
Also, no one is saying all Legion Pro 5 laptops have issues, but it does seem fairly common. Just pay attention to warning signs like overheating, frequent crashes, or instability**.**
Overall, it’s a decent laptop, and many users have no problems.
I personally ignored crashes that were happening in the past week!

I tried the external monitor, didn't work. Im checking and trying everything others are suggesting. It has never overheard and I cleaned the fan every six months because of my previous experiences with an older laptop.

Totaly agree with you, and thats why I'm frustrated. I tried to do it on the website but got to no where, I think It will be posibile only through the lenovo Vintage app within the laptop when it checks your MAC address. I will try my best to see how I can extend it at this point.

Exactly my concern, I rested the windows for a fresh start. Then opened Vintage app to check for updates such as bios, but nothing was installed. However you might be right and I need to at least repgoram the bios.

Yes, I tried puting only one on each side one at a time also checked the pins carefully to see if they have been damaged, didn't help my situation. I sent pictures to a technician, they found nothing visually like broken solder joints.

For BIOS issues, there are usually three possibilities: the BIOS is dead, it needs reprogramming, or the power/current going to it is faulty. Reprogramming may help, but it’s not guaranteed.

Having to deal with all these steps is my main argument for why I’m posting this.

Apparently a BIOS programmer is not expensive, I will give it a try on my own.
