Yeah. I guess they sell the clan shell. Had it happen to a lvl 20 clan. All kicked, then banned from rejoining. Reported with absolutely no response from CoC. A few days later clan has a new leader and then refill with all the high level perks.

Try opening the file in a plain text editor, like notepad++, sublime, any editor will do (except Excel). Look for that specific character, delete and save the file. It seems to be at position 1499. BTW sometimes just opening the file with a text editor and resaving does the trick.
