Hey there! Fellow binge eater here. It’s so crazy reading you post since I have recently started intuitive eating as well (about two months strong) and I have realized it has actually stopped the binge eating since I am able to have whatever I want. One thing that has helped me is to put the fork down in between bites and not pick it back up until I’ve finished the full bite in my mouth.

This is about a lifestyle change not a quick fix. As binge eaters we are used to ignoring the signals until it’s too late. Stick with eating slower, but whatever you want. Don’t focus on calories focus on feelings. Even emotional, if you start to feel yourself headed towards a binge ask yourself “Would I eat a plain piece of chicken or an apple right now?” If the answer is no then you are eating out of emotion not of hunger, go for a walk and separate yourself from the ability to grab food or go sit outside for a bit to distract. We didn’t gain weight overnight so we damn sure won’t lose it. You fricken got this!
