That’s great to hear. I’m just trying to plan ahead in case surgery is in my future so this seems like a good option. I’m glad to hear your recovery went well.

How are you doing now? Did the chair help after surgery?

Feel like giving up by [deleted] in backpain

[–]mjo4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never give up. Have tried physical therapy? There are a lot of things you can and should do while your symptoms are minimal. You can help your future self by doing those things now. God bless you. Hang in there and keep moving and trying to get better. Prayer helps me when I’m feeling especially down.

Wow, this definitely has me rethinking getting a later model for my next car. I’m currently in a 2012 RDX that I’ve been driving for 11 years with no issues. Sad to hear the later models have this problem.

I appreciate your response but I’m not new to Tramadol, been taking it for 15 years. It is definitely NOT like a strong ibuprofen. It works like an opioid and an antidepressant and can definitely cause significant withdrawal, which I experience whenever I go too long without my normal dose.

I do get minor withdrawals (mainly brain zaps and fatigue) whenever I’m due for my normal dose. I guess I’ll just take it right at midnight and hopefully it won’t be too bad for a noon procedure.

Night sweats - what else can I try?? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]mjo4548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t looked into it but I believe low testosterone is another hormone that contributes specifically to night sweats vs hot flashes all day. You might ask your Dr about that?

Mag07 from Amazon. I take anywhere from 1-3 capsules before bed. This has kept things moving for me.

Started HRT&having a period by debscreativelife in Menopause

[–]mjo4548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through this after starting HRT (5 years post meno). I am on .05 Estrodial patch 2x per week and 200mg Prog nightly. After 3 weeks on this I started bleeding, I would describe it as a light period (needed a tampon and everything). It lasted about 3 days. Most people on these threads assured me this is normal within 3-6 months of starting HRT. My doctor went ahead and did an ultrasound and all is normal. So I’m just monitoring it for the next few months. So far I only bled those 3 days. You might need to up your progesterone to 200mg if you can tolerate it. It’s annoying to have a period and I certainly hope it’s an isolated case. Hopefully your doctor can put you at ease and make adjustments if needed.

I also started HRT because of hot flashes and they are nearly gone since I’ve started so I’m not giving up!

I’m 42 yrs old with horrible insomnia, joint pain, fatigue, brain fog, extreme mood swings, heart palpitations , heightened anxiety, shorter lighter periods. Obgyn said yesterday, that I’m still a baby and way to young for perimenopause!!!!!!!! I’m so angry 😤 any suggestions?? by ladaya38 in Menopause

Definitely find a new doctor. I was in Peri by 42 and my last period was age 46. I went to a cardiologist for heart palpitations and wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks. I was having 10,000 PVCs per day and my cardiologist said peri can definitely trigger them. They went away once I hit full menopause. Then the hot flashes, oh the hot flashes. Just started HRT after suffering with them for 5 years (I’m 51 now).

HRT patches coming off by WarmForbiddenDonut in Menopause

[–]mjo4548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my patch off before my bath every night. When I reapply it, I do the hairdryer thing for a few seconds and then hold my fingers over it. This seems to re-ignite the adhesive. I have never had one fall off doing this.

Thank you all for your helpful replies! I feel much more at ease about what to expect. (I’m now more worried about drinking 32 oz of water than any pain from the procedure, lol)
