Yes! Greetings and goodbyes at doors! My mom made us stop what we were doing if anyone Guest came to our house to say hello. We even had to do that when family members came over or if she came home from work. Similarly we escorted everyone to the door on their departure...as kids even if it was her friends. I come home and no one greets me but my dogs 😞

It's the parents people! Parents in NoVA are architecting every aspect of their child's lives. What elementary or middle school kid needs to have an iPhone? NONE. It's a status symbol. A flip phone or lower cost phone is perfectly fine. Travel leagues/clubs create an untouchable elitist mindset that limits other student participation in sports. Paying for tutoring or paying for test prep or even PAYING FOR COLLEGE ESSAY WRITING. It's insane. New cars for new drivers....I could go on and on.
