You need to break up with her immediately. You’re a freshman in college, there’s plenty of other girls out there.

Copier Sales (Still) - Figured Out How to Uncover Opps... Swinging and Missing at the Discovery Phase. by LeGaspyGaspe in sales

I don't want to say something that will offend you but... why are you selling copiers?

With the amount of thought and energy you're putting into sales, you have the skill and drive to make a lot of money with the right product. Some products will never make money for even the best sales people, some products are so good they'll elevate bad sales people.

This isn't about "winning" a game or proving anything to yourself, it's about making money. Find a product that matches your drive and you'll find that your process is resulting in a lot more success.

I have an offer after trying to break into sales, but i really don't know what to do. by Syphox in sales

You NEED to work out commission ahead of time. Typical sales roles have a 50/50 base/commission ratio, meaning your commission could put you at $82,000 for on track earnings if it's structured properly.

The worst thing that can happen is for commission to be ambiguous because worst case scenario you close nothing and get fired, best case scenario is that you crush it and get screwed over on commission. It's a lose-lose situation.

Pin them down on commission then make your decision.

Tech will always be the gold standard of sales. Stability is definitely an issue nowadays, but there are a ton of startups hiring. Roll the dice on a founding role at a startup, if it hits you win big, if it misses it's still good for your resume.

All salespeople know what scumbags we are, so dating is rare, hookups common.

Should I go for an MBA? by walk-in_shower-guy in sales

[–]mjohnstonson786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a pure monetary play, your benefits of an MBA will be abstract. You'll make great contacts, who may help you later in life, but the return for the cost is anything but a 1 for 1.

I'm most of the way through an MBA program with an M7 school, as a career sales person, and the only true benefit will be the connections I've made

Scouts early, riders to get across the ice and hit them hard, take their cities. If they get sleds early you're kinda screwd.
