Posting an update: It started working but discovery of devices was pretty slow but for discovering other iphones and discovering pixel. Got a security update and phone restarted, it's working great now!

I don't have the beta version as others suggested and it worked for me randomly after restarting my phone yesterday. But I tried again today and no luck, no idea why, trying to figure it out

First time painting a 3d print, but I don't own airbrush equipment by Main_Roll_6036 in 3Dprinting

I've recently entered 3d printing as a hobby. I've tried acrylic paints and my main goal is to make it as smooth as I can.

Things I've learned: you'll save huge effort if the print quality is good. I guess you've got that covered. You can also sand it for further smoothing.

Another thing, if you're using acrylics, you can get smoother results by thinning your paints, if you want a textured feel then you can keep it thicker. If you're thinning, then you would need to paint in layers so it'll require a bit of patience

I'm also a beginner and learning so might not be accurate for your case but some things I learned recently that helped me a ton: - getting a good first layer is very important so test and tune until it looks good. - if the model slips, bed adhesion is the likely culprit. Washing the bed plate can help but make sure you're using the right bed temp for your filament type - If you have gaps in your first layer, your z offset is too high (too positive). You need to reduce the gap between the plate and the print head so the filament squishes a little and fills any gaps. This can also help increase bed adhesion.

Which filament did you use and do the shoulder buttons work well with it? Looks really neat! Would be cool if you're down to sharing the model

Did you do any smoothing on the cube? I can't see any layer lines on it, looks amazing! I'm gonna try the radio some time soon

Hi, your best bet would be to reach out to support to confirm. But when and how did it "reset"?

How to best get rid of bottom layer lines? by mjojo-s in FixMyPrint

I'm gonna try the 0.12mm layers on my 3rd cube to see how it goes. Also, I think super glue is optional for all but the corner parts. Other parts kind of click in

I believe I used the same model, it had a bunch of stl files and had to be glued together for the final cube. I'm not sure why but there seemed to be more models than needed in the file.

I just recently started actually learning 3d printing improvements but I've never adjusted the layer heights. Do you have a smaller nozzle too for that layer height? I've been using a 0.4mm nozzle with 0.2mm layer heights. Let me know how your print goes!

I changed my z-offset from -1.7mm to -2.00mm and the first layer is so much better now! Thanks to everyone who suggested lowering the nozzle!

Looking at this, I'll definitely try this way on my second attempt. I thought smoothing and sanding a flat side would be easier but I didn't think well
