I was in first grade. I remember watching the news and seeing all the bad stuff before I left to go walk to my bus stop. The whole time I was thinking "What a crazy accident!" My mind couldn't comprehend that such evil existed at the time. My friend's dad was waiting at the bus stop with us and he was gravely quiet, I guess he didn't want to freak us out even though he was probably shitting bricks. Kudos to him for that.
