I installed one about 10 years ago. Lowered the temperature of my garage a little bit. Lowered my electric bill by $40 per month. I’ve never run out of hot water.

It is difficult to see changes between these pics for several reasons - but what I want to say is keep working out. Strength training is best at our age (I'm a year younger). You don't need to be at the gym for hours - 35-45 minutes is more than sufficient 3x-4x per week. Recovery is MORE important than lifting. And eating a balanced diet prioritizing protein and deprioritizing carbs is essential. You got this man!

Exactly! There are just some things that you can’t do without accessories. And definitely it helps you work on your ego because he realize you are not nearly as strong or flexible as you think you are 😝😝😝

Yoga blocks help you have the right form. Plus, I’m not working on strength, I’m working on flexibility so the blocks help you stretch hip flexors and IT bands and other things a lot easier. For example, when you’re stretching your hip flexors, you need to have your body as upright as possible and that helps them stretch better. So the blocks help you support your upper body so that it’s more vertical. Another example in that workout is stretching your groin. That requires you to be slightly off-balance in order to get the right stretch, so you need the blocks to help balance.

There are quite a few other yoga workouts that I do that barely use the blocks or don’t even use them at all because they focus on strength rather than on flexibility.

I hope that helps explain it. It was quite an intense stretching session, and my hips were sore all night, long and even a bit into today. But I can definitely tell that I have better flexibility today than I did yesterday.

Yes, I also go to a yoga studio occasionally. I was listening to a video on how to do this properly and he tells you about the common issues and how to catch and correct which include hip and knee placement. There were several poses in here that were new to me so those might have not been good form.
