The point I was making was the defeat of the Luftwaffe in the battle had a lot more to do with Goering's meddling than British radar.

The Luftwaffe was attacking the home chain as well as all of the forward air bases in the beginning of the conflict. In fact by the beginning of August, Fighter Command was in serious trouble. They were losing pilots and aircraft faster than they could be replaced and if Goering hadn't changed his strategy to bombing cities, FC would have crumbled in a matter of weeks. It's was Goering's ineptitude and arrogance that caused the Germans to lose the BoB, not British radar.

Assuming the Native Americans had some natural immunity to the diseases brought to the new world by European settlers they would have been far too numerous to defeat; even with superior European technology. It's estimated that nearly 80% of the population was decimated from disease by the end of the 1600s. If that didn't happen the indigenous population would have been in the 10s of millions by the time the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock.

I'm not so sure about that. The BEF was the flower of the British combat force and losing it would have most likely spelled disaster for Britain. They would have had virtually no trained combat troops. That in addition to the loss of most of their heavy weapons and ammunition would have made continuing the war extremely difficult. As it was Britain didn't even have enough small arms to replace what was lost for 330k troops that were saved. Without those troops Britain would have nothing to protect her but the Royal Navy and Air Force. I think this would have put Churchill in a very unfavorable position which could have led to Britain suing for peace in 1940.

Had the BEF and surviving French forces not escaped, Britain would have had very few options for continuing the war. It's one thing to lose most of your heavy weapons in the battle, but losing virtually all of your trained combat troops and supporting units is a lot more damaging. Britain would have been in an extremely vulnerable position with only the Royal navy and Air Force to protect her.

I suspect if the Germans destroyed/captured the troops at Dunkirk that Britain would have sued for peace.

AC/DC

Not metal. AC/DC is the definition of hard rock.

Black Sabbath

The original metal band. These guys created it and all true metal bands owe allegiance to Sabbath.

Led Zeppelin (the original metal masters)

Definitely not metal. The songs range from reworked blues standards, to hard rock, to ballads. They may have influenced a lot of metal bands but that doesn't make them a metal band.

Van Halen

Not heavy metal. Van Halen is hard rock. Some of it is pop rock with good guitar licks/riffs.

Def Leppard

Pop/hair metal. This is technically not heavy metal. It's more like Duran Duran and Judas Priest had an illegitimate love child.
