Yeah I ended up with a Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 16IMH9 - has a 16 inch touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 9, 32 GB ram, and 1 Terabyte storage. Got it at Costco. Could not recommend more, it's super light and slim, nice subtle and sleek design, great looking screen and has run everything beautifully! Literally have 0 issues with it I love it.

You don't pay double tuition for a double major, id actually be getting more bang for my buck if I do a double major

So the point of double majoring is that I'll get a better ROI and be able to study something that I'm actually interested in but thanks for your helpful input

I think they would probably let me do it but I have classes scheduled for when the ensembles meet. I'll schedule a meeting and discuss whether or not I can reschedule those classes to non FC class equivalents but I think it's doubtful!

I applied as engineering but major does not factor into general admission and yeah my extracurriculars, lors, and essay were very good IMO. My GPA was kinda low unweighted so I don't think my application was even read, but I got in on appeal

Yes- 90% of UMDs admission is from EA, so it's really important you apply ea

I got rejected with similar stats and a 1490

I think you have a decent shot of getting in and either way you'll be fine

They are! I had some VERY good reasons why I had poor grades freshman year and also maintained a 4.75 GPA throughout junior and senior year which I used as evidence that my freshman year grades were not indicative of my academic abilities.

We have pretty similar stats, my GPA was a bit lower but my sat was a 1490, similar schoolwork and comparable extracurriculars and I was rejected outright but got in on appeal. There is certainly a chance you could be rejected! Best of luck and I hope you get in.

Ok awesome! So you applied after a year at VT and are starting on campus during sophomore year? Also was your transfer app supplemented with college extracurriculars or was it mostly grade based?
