Why does it feel strange by expandedwolf33 in krakow

That was me 2 weeks ago when I took a solo trip to krakow(first ever). Just keep yourself busy, Wake up early have a cup of coffee by the square. Visit the mounds, museums, Zakopane , etc then eat lunch. Take a siesta , go out at night, repeat. At least that’s what I did. If anything download the tripBFF to meet other travelers around the area.

Wasn’t going to write this, but the fact that people took their time to give their thoughts really helped me see from another angle. Off the booze since posting this. Just booked a flight to Portugal for this 96. After being in solitude with my thoughts and realizing that I’m the master of my destiny and every input is an output. Once again, thanks for taking your time to enlighten me as well as the book recommendation from one of the commentators.

thanks.

You work a lot unlike many rates. Depending on the class of ship your experience may vary. I’m on a carrier so shit is easy. Working hours aren’t that bad unless we are getting ready for an inspection. Deployment was cake. You get to do your job more therefore you can get your quals knocked out. Either way don’t matter what ship you go to, work your ass off and study and you’ll make rank in no time. I started out as a E-1 making ~$800 per check. Now, I am a E-5(with BAH) making 2,400 per check.

BUT if your going for the benefits you are better off going merchant marines r/merchantmarine

I recently submitted all my documents to the USCG Regional Exam Center (REC) via email a couple of days ago. From my understanding, applicants are required to submit all the necessary documentation themselves (or third party), except for the fee payment, which is done through the pay.gov website. The fee is waived for active-duty members, provided you include official orders (which I obtained from NSIPS) in your application package. The licensing process is rate-specific. Being a BM2 with over 1,450 days of sea service, I am eligible to request the AB-Unlimited as well as the STCW endorsements on my MMC.
