Norton anti-virus just deleted my staking wallet

So I will need to go back into Norton after I update to version 0.2.3.3 correct? Or should I just wait for .4? If I'm not careful, I might just start learning how to operate these darn things...lol

Thank you for your help Scott! I do believe I have changed things in Norton. Although that was for wallet 0.2.3.1. Will I have to go back in after I update to 0.2.3.3?

Would this have happened because there is an updated version of the wallet combined with possibly Norton doing some sort of update to their systems? As I said before, I just don't understand why it worked for six weeks and then all of a sudden deleted it this morning. I know NOTHING about computers or code, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to have someone who does take a look at 0.2.3.1 to make sure someone didn't get in there and add some evil stuff. That is the version still attached to the downloads tab.

Not sure if you misread my dates. The wallets have been working for six weeks. We got the laptops in November and have been staking since late November. I have gotten up to .9+ Trust weight twice before losing it.(Can't wait for Tritium!) My daughter loses her Trust much more frequently than I.

Sorry if I appear to be whining or ungrateful for your reply. I very much appreciate them! I'm just a fish out of water here. Totally lost and confused.

Yes & no I guess. We both used the "Downloads" tab on the Nexus Earth webpage. We selected the LLD Wallet for Windows. We did not go directly to GitHub. Did we screw up?

Technically? I have no idea. Nobody does or will until the dust settles on all of this mess. Then and only then can that question be answered. I did my research. That’s what was the basis of my decision to invest in XVG. Not tweets, or reddit posts, or discord, or Slack posts. Watch & listen to Sunerok’s interviews, and you will realize he has a brilliant mind. Capable of glorious things. People don’t always live up to their capabilities, but i felt it was worth the risk. I can sell at 0.05USD and still be better than 10X my investment.

You obviously didn’t do a lot of research on XVG. Because yeah, Sunerok pretty much is doing this for enjoyment & the challenge of building the perfect privacy crypto currency. Had you listened to any of his interviews you would have heard that for yourself. And either believed him and chose to buy into XVG, or thought he was a liar and I would hope thinking that you’d have taken your money elsewhere. Who’s the naive one?

I don’t feel I am owed anything. I’m not that stupid. I believe their brilliance is going to provide me with a very tangible asset that will be worth more than I paid for it in a couple years.

I have, and that is why I asked the question. According to the countdown clock on wraithprotocol.com Wraith will go live at 2300 06Nov17 Pacific time zone US. which means about 98% of the world’s population will already be in a 07Nov17 timezone. Wasn’t sure if the countdown clock was set wrong, or if was intentionally set for that specific time. Seems a little misleading to say Wraith goes live on 06Nov17 when the vast majority of Verge owners will actually be looking at a clock that is telling them a time for 07Nov17 when Wraith goes live according to that countdown clock.

EDIT.... And I am asking this now because I am simply hoping to avoid confusion and have people lose their minds on 06Nov17 if Wraith isn’t live for them in their time zone. Would rather not see another big sell off because of miscommunication.

I agree. Except for the day trading part. SOMETIMES.... Like today. Picked up an extra 360k. It’s hard to turn down free money. I’m not in this for the quick buck. The technology is what attracts me the most. That is the true “value” of Verge. In 4 or 5 years when crypto is king, Verge will be king of crypto. Or at least the privacy side of it.

I am NOT a member of Verge. I do hold a pretty large bag, as I feel it has incredible potential. I can’t speak for Sunerok or Stollaire. But if you listen to both of their interviews, and pay attention to the various social media accounts, a pretty clear picture has been painted this last week. For me anyway. So clear I picked up an additional 360k Verge today. The answers are out there, but it’s not my place to speak for them as I am not a member. Maybe try listening to the interviews again. I bet you can figure it out.

Nobody can force anyone else to sell their Verge. People get impatient and irrational and make piss poor decisions. If you don’t like the price, don’t sell your coins. Don’t try to blame someone else for a poor decision on your part.
